Jim Brickman Plays An Evening of Romance At Kimmel Center 2/18
Jim Brickman makes his Philadelphia debut at the Merriam Theater with a program entitled An Evening of Romance on February 18, 2012 at 8pm.
Jim Brickman performs a special concert featuring his beloved hits “Valentine,” “Love of My Life,” “The Gift,” “If You Believe,” and “Never Alone,” as well as his own compositions from his latest album, Romanza, a collection of Italian-inspired original love songs.
About the artist: "Songwriter-composer Jim Brickman has entertained fans since 1994 with his warm stage presence and piano recitals of love songs, which elicit the likes of luminaries Burt Bacharach and Quincy Jones. In January 2012, he commanded the top three spots on the Billboard New Age chart. Although Brickman’s albums are classified under the New Age genre, his signature style of playing and songwriting features the diversity of pop style instrumentals and starry vocal performances."
Tickets for Jim Brickman: An Evening of Romance are available at $35 to $55, and can be purchased by calling 215-893-1999, online at kimmelcenter.org, or at the Kimmel Center Box Office located on Broad and Spruce streets, Philadelphia (open daily from 10am to 6pm, later on performance evenings).
Since his debut album No Words in 1994, he has released over 25 albums of piano music, featuring a number of original compositions in addition to arrangements of numerous hymns and holiday songs. Brickman has been honored with two Grammy nominations, six Gold and Platinum albums, and 30 charted adult radio hits. His albums feature collaborations with such noted vocalists as Martina McBride, Gerald Levert, Lady Antebellum, Matt Giraud, Michael W. Smith, Kenny Loggins, Carly Simon, Herb Alpert, Collin Raye, Michael Bolton, Sara Evans, Donny Osmond, and Olivia Newton-John.
