JERSEY BOYS, the Tony, Grammy and Olivier Award-winning hit musical, set a new box office record for a standard 8 show week at Philadelphia's Forrest Theater this past week (week ending 1/8/12) with a gross of $1,617,700.

The previous week (week ending 1/1/12), the show also set a new box office record for a 9-show week with a gross of $1,825,246. JERSEY BOYS now holds the top 12 weekly box office grosses at the Forrest Theater (combination of 2010 premiere and 2011 return).

JERSEY BOYS opened to rave reviews in Philadelphia, PA at the Forrest Theatre, on Friday, December 9 (performances began Tuesday, December 6) and will play through Saturday, January 14, 2012. From Philadelphia, JERSEY BOYS will play Dayton, OH's Schuster Performing Arts Center Tuesday, January 17 through Sunday, February 5.

Directed by two-time Tony Award® winner Des McAnuff, JERSEY BOYS is written by Academy Award-winner Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, with music by Bob Gaudio, lyrics by Bob Crewe and choreography by Sergio Trujillo.

JERSEY BOYS opened at the August Wilson Theatre on Broadway to critical acclaim on November 6, 2005 and is currently celebrating 6 glorious years on Broadway and is the longest running show in the history of the August Wilson Theatre. The JERSEY BOYS National Tour, now celebrating its 5th Anniversary, opened to rave reviews in San Francisco on December 1, 2006, played a record-breaking run in Los Angeles and is still breaking house records in cities across North America.
