Hershey Area Playhouse Presents THE 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE, 2/13-16

Hershey Area Playhouse will have you laughing out loud with its presentation of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee on February 13-16, 20-23, 2014. Performances begin at 7:30 p.m. Thursday-Saturday and 2 p.m. on Sundays.

This musical comedy centers on six middle-school kids and their battle for the coveted spelling bee championship. The talented performing ensemble includes Joel Bauman, Joseph Chubb, Steve Dincau, Aubrey Kyler, Kaytee Moyer, Kirstyn Schaeffer, Scott Schmittel, Valerie Schrader, and Travis Zimmerman. Beth Dunham is the show's director, Jonathan Shoff is musical director and Lisa Greene is the producer.

"This show offers something for everyone. It is a fun and funny musical, and it also involves audience participation, which makes for a truly different experience every single performance," said Dunham. "It has been a true joy to direct," she added.
