For the first time ever, singer/songwriter, Boz Scaggs will take the stage at the historic State Theatre. The Grammy Award-winner will perform on Friday, September 15 as part of the first month of the 91st season at the venue.

Show time is 7:30 PM. Tickets are $77/$67/$57 and can be purchased by visiting the State Theatre Box Office, 453 Northampton Street, Easton, by calling 1-800-999-STATE, 610.252.3132 or online at www.statetheatre.org. Sponsored by 99.9 The Hawk and Lutron.

Boz Scaggs began his career as the lead singer and guitarist of the Steve Miller Band in the late 60s before the success of his 1976 solo album, Silk Degrees, which produced hit singles such as "Lowdown," "Lido Shuffle," and "We're All Alone." He blurs the lines between genres, often mixing rock, soul, country, blues, and jazz to create a truly unique sound. Most recently, Scaggs released his album A Fool to Care, which rose to number one on the Billboard Blues Album chart.

Scaggs racked up three Grammy nominations in 1977 for Silk Degrees, earning the award for Best R&B Song with "Lowdown." Silk Degrees went five-time multi-platinum and rose to #2 on the US Charts. He was nominated again for a Grammy in 1988 for "Come On Home."

The 91st season of the State Theatre is now on sale to the general public following two weeks of the membership sales period. Scaggs follows the Oak Ridge Boys who kick off the season one week earlier on September 8th.
