GIANT Center Box Office Manager Wins Venues Today's 2014 Box Office Stars Award
Hershey Entertainment & Resorts (HE&R) congratulates Cathy Lebo on winning the Venues Today 2014 Box Office Stars Award. This prestigious award recognizes Box Office Managers for their newsworthy achievements, or outstanding services in their own ticketing office or in the industry at large, throughout 2013.
Cathy Lebo is the Manager, Event Ticketing for the Hershey Entertainment Complex, and has been with the company for 14 years. During her tenure with HE&R she has been a constant face in the Box Office, but held various positions. She started as a part time Box Office Reservationist, shortly after was hired as a full time office coordinator, and eventually moved in to her current role. In this position, Lebo and her team are responsible for the ticketing management for Giant Center,Hersheypark Stadium, The Star Pavilion, Hershey Theatre, Hersheypark Arena and Hershey Bears.
"I'm honored and humbled to be a nominee and one of the winners of the 2014 Venues Today Box Office Star Award. To be recognized among my peers and friends for this high-achieving award in the ticketing industry is simply incredible. I'd like to thank our local Live Nation Entertainment team for taking the time to nominate me, and all those who voted," said Lebo.
Live Nation Entertainment nominated Cathy and said the following, "She makes every show look great, adding seats where possible and helping the events run smoothly. Hershey has had a very condensed schedule this past summer including two sold-out One Direction shows, Dave Matthews Band, Jay-Z and Justin Timberlake, Jason Aldean and a two-day festival - Summer MixTape."
Venues Today will honor Lebo, and two other outstanding ticketing professionals, at the annual International Ticketing (INTIX) Convention in January. She beat out 50 other nominees in an online vote conducted by Venues Today.
Lebo summed up her excitement by saying, "The most rewarding aspect of my job is when I step out in to the venue to see the performers take the stage, and see the fans having the time of their lives!"
