By: BWW News Desk
Even though school hasn't started some students are signing up for the after school film production class MyFi (Media Youth Film Initiative).
Last year, MyFi students' first production called "Imagine", about high school friendships, how to make them, and the importance of them. Other films made were: "Sorry" about the consequences of violence, and "Family" in transition. As part of a Production crew the students learned screenplay writing, acting and directing as well as some of the more technical aspects of the craft such as operating a camera, lighting a set, recording sound and editing film. MyFi instructor, local filmmaker and Professor of Communications at Villanova University, Hezekiah Lewis was impressed with the diligences and creativity of the students. "Filmmakers are essentially storytellers and I believe every kid has a compelling story to share with the world". Darryl Ridgeway, vice president of BOWSTRING STUDIOS and CEO of Blue Diamond Entertainment Group, also worked with students.Videos
