DreamWrights Youth & Family Theatre Presents SNOW WHITE, 10/5-21
In 1812, The Brothers Grimm put together a collection of fairy tales that included their rendition of an even older German story about a young princess and the evil step-queen. Now in 2012, DreamWrights is reimagining the same story yet again.
Though most people are familiar with the Disney version, our playwright went back to the original recorded telling. The base story is intact with a few additions and enhancements to make the story more audience and actor friendly. Additional characters are involved so we get to know more about the princess and the time period. While retaining all the intrigue and suspense, humor has been added for everyone's enjoyment.
There are two casts of 27, and a crew of 39 involved in the DreamWrights production. Charley Jess, 8, Red Lion and Kirsten Taylor 11, York play the younger Snow White. The older sixteen year-old Snow White is played by Grace Kominsky 12, Mt Wolf and Amber Nadine 15, Hummelstown. Queen Qivera is portrayed by Kelly Kessler and Carol Oldenburg, both from York.
Come see the newest telling of this 200 year old tale! Snow White opens Friday Oct. 5 and runs thru Sunday Oct. 21. Show Dates & Times: Oct. 5, 6, 12, 13, 19, 20 at 6:30 Oct. 6, 7, 13, 14, 20, 21 at 2:30; Plus Oct. 20 9:00 AM Playlet & Breakfast.
