An event at Please Touch Museum®, The Children's Museum of Philadelphia™ at Memorial Hall in Fairmount Park, celebration the museum's participation in Blue Star Museums. This collaboration among the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, the Department of Defense, and more than 1,700 museums across America offers free admission to all active duty, National Guard, and reserve military personnel and their families from Memorial Day (Monday, May 28, 2012) through Labor Day 2012 (Monday, September 3, 2012). The Please Touch Museum event is by invitation-only.

The event will be attended by local military families and representatives from Philadelphia, including Captain Daniel MacDonald of the 9th Police District, who is an active duty veteran and currently serves in the Reserves.
