This raucous story welcomes audiences to join the festivities as star-crossed lovers Queenie, an aging chorus girl, and her boyfriend Burrs, a washed up vaudeville clown, plan a reckless evening. They invite their friends from downtown, uptown and underground for a night of gin, sin, and endless possibilities. Award-winning music by
Andrew Lippa provides a decadent and exhilarating backdrop for this tale of passion gone awry.
"With sold-out weekends of our past two NEXT STEP musical readings, we are so pleased with the success that confirms the demand for challenging and edgy new work," said 11th Hour Theatre Company's Producing Artistic Director
Michael Philip O'Brien.
The NEXT STEP concert series completes its run with Into The Woods by
Stephen Sondheim on April 13-14 at the Skybox at the Adrienne (2030 Sansom St.).
