"Matilda," "Newsies" and "West Side Story" actor/dancer Ryan Steele stars in the latest edition of the new video series #ShareTheMattress that features creative artists dancing and playing on their beds. Steele is the star of the new film Five Dances, which comes out today, and was the official selection of the Seattle International Film Festival 2013 and Jacob's Pillow's Dance Festival 2013. A prolific actor and dancer in both film and theater, Steele has established himself as a prominent rising actor on Broadway and in Hollywood.

Schmackary's Cookies, aka: The Official Cookie of Broadway, hosts 'Broadway Bakes' a special benefit for Broadway Cares / Equity Fights AIDS, this week May 27-31. Schmackary's will donate half the proceeds and all tips generated from this event to BCEFA as part of this special pre-Tony Awards 'Thank You Broadway' event. For the third time this year, cast members from the breakout American musical Newsies will chat with fans live on YouTube. This Saturday, August 18th at 6:00PM EST, Newsies' Andrew Keenan-Bolger, Ryan Steele, Garett Hawe and Laurie Veldheer will be on hand to talk about the show.

NEWSIES star Andrew Keenan-Bolger recently took the time to put together a music video for summer 2012, featuring some of his NEWSIES castmates and even some other Broadway veterans. Keenan-Bolger writes: 'I brought my camera along whenever I was hanging out with my friends this summer. I decided to compile the footage together in an unofficial video for my favorite song of the summer, '1904' by The Tallest Man On Earth.'

NEWSIES has been playing now for several months the Nederlander Theatre, and by now the cast has lots of backstage rituals that go on before performances. In the video below, check out where they stretch, do vocal warm-ups, and more!
