The new musical Daddy Long Legs will have an open-ended run at the Davenport Theatre (354 West 45th Street). Starring Megan McGinnis (Broadway's LES MISERABLES, Side Show, Little Women) and Paul Alexander Nolan (Broadway's Once, Jesus Christ Superstar, Doctor Zhivago) and based on the 1912 novel by Jean Webster, Daddy Long Legs features music and lyrics by Tony Award nominee Paul Gordon (Sense and Sensibility), book by Tony Award and Olivier Award winner John Caird (LES MISERABLES), and direction by John Caird. Daddy Long Legs begins previews on September 10, 2015, and will officially open September 28, 2015. Tickets are on sale now at Telecharge.com. Broadway in Bryan Park concluded its 2015 program this week - and BroadwayWorld was on hand to capture the festivities. This week's line-up included performances from the casts ofSpring Awakening, DAMES AT SEA, ONCE UPON A MATTRESS, THE KING AND I, and DADDY LONG LEGS. Just last night, The New York Pops performed an inaugural concert at its new summer home, Forest Hills Stadium, with two-time Tony Award winner Sutton Foster, joined by former Broadway co-stars Colin Donnell and Megan McGinnis. Among other numbers, she performed John Denver's 'Sunshine on my Shoulders,' Cole Porter's 'I Get a Kick Out of You,' and will reprise her touching duet 'Flight' with McGinnis. Donnell will perform a duet with Foster, in addition to 'On the Streets of Dublin,' from Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty's A Man of No Importance. The concert is sponsored by Morgan Stanley and Reed Smith.

TheatreWorks Silicon Valley kicks off its 2015/2016 season with the World Premiere of Triangle, a new musical with music by Curtis Moore, lyrics by Thomas Mizer, and book by Moore, Mizer, and Joshua Scher, originally developed at the company's 2012 New Works Festival. Triangle is directed by Meredith McDonough, with performances now through August 2 at the Lucie Stern Theatre, 1305 Middlefield Road, Palo Alto. BroadwayWorld has a sneak peek below!

Today in 2005, Little Women opened at the Virginia Theatre (now the August Wilson Theatre), where it ran for 137 performances. Based on Louisa May Alcott's classic 1869 semi-autobiographical novel, it focuses on the four March sisters - brassy, tomboy-like, aspiring writer Jo, romantic Meg, pretentious Amy, and kind-hearted Beth - and their beloved Marmee, at home in Concord, Massachusetts while the family patriarch is away serving as a Union Army chaplain during the Civil War. Intercut with the vignettes in which their lives unfold are several recreations of the melodramatic short stories Jo writes in her attic studio. John Caird's production of DADDY LONG LEGS is now playing at London's newest theatre complex, the St. James Theatre. DADDY LONG LEGS will run at the St. James Theatre until 08 December. Sterling's presented Bruce Kimmel's Kritzerland production of Take Me Along: The Songs of Bob Merrill as its premiere offering. The six member cast starred musical theatre stars Julie Garnye and Juliana Hansen, Broadway's Melody Hollis and Kristofer McNeely, and musical theatre star Jeffrey Christopher Todd, with Special Guest... Broadway, film, TV, concert and recording star Lainie Kazan. Christy Crowel served as the evening's Musical Director, with Shelly Markham serving as Musical Director for Lainie Kazan. Bruce Kimmel conceived, produced and directed Take Me Along, with Adryan Russ on board as Associate Producer.

In response to the devastating events in Japan, producers Patty Onagan and Ronn Goswick presented Rebuild Japan: A Benefit Concert at The Pasadena Playhouse, a one-night-only event on Monday, April 4 at 7:30pm. Following six weeks of fierce competition among 20 of California's finest young musical theatre performers, LA's Next Great Stage Star 2011 celebrated Judy Mora's outstanding victory at the 5th annual competition's glittering Finale on Sunday, February 6, presented by Sterling's Upstairs at Vitello's, the most critically acclaimed, award-winning supper club of its kind in greater Los Angeles. Runners up included San Francisco's Michael David (2nd place); Matthew McFarland (3rd place); Emily Goglia (4th place); and Reba Buhr (5th place). Broadway World's Dean Butler was there to capture the three and a half hour event ... off and on stage - which also included a Special Guest Star performance by musical theatre, television star and pop composer/singer Blake McIver Ewing.
