"Appropriate," the 2014 Obie Award winner for Best New American Play, will be staged at Westport Country Playhouse, from August 15 through September 2. The story of family secrets is written by Branden Jacobs-Jenkins, 2016 MacArthur Genius Grant Recipient, and directed by David Kennedy, Playhouse associate artistic director.

Beginning today, July 12, Live From Lincoln Center & Lincoln Center Theater will present Falsettos in movie theatres across the country. Nominated for five 2017 Tony Awards, including Best Revival of a Musical, Falsettos is a hilarious and poignant look at a modern family revolving around the life of a gay man Marvin, his wife, his lover, his soon-to-be-bar mitzvahed son, their psychiatrist, and the lesbians next door. Originally created under the specter of the AIDS crisis, this timely musical about middle?class family dynamics manages to remain buoyant and satirically perceptive even as it moves towards its heartbreaking conclusion.

Tasha Lawrence, Morocco Omari, Karen Pittman, Namir Smallwood, Jaime Lincoln Smith, and Heather Velazquez are featured in Lincoln Center Theater's production of Pipeline, a new play by Dominique Morisseau, directed by Lileana Blain-Cruz, which opens tonight, July 10, at the Mitzi E. Michael Aronov has won the 2017 Tony Award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Role in a Play for Oslo. This marks the actors first Tony nomination and win. His other Lincoln Center Theater credits include Golden Boy (Belasco Theatre), and Blood and Gifts (U.S. premiere).

THE KING AND I is hitting the road! Laura Michelle Kelly (Anna Leonowens) and Jose Llana (King of Siam) will lead the national tour of the Lincoln Center Theater production of Rodgers & Hammerstein's THE KING AND I. Joan Almedilla will play Lady Thiang with Brian Rivera as Kralahome, Manna Nichols as Tuptim, Kavin Panmeechao as Lun Tha, Anthony Chan as Prince Chulalongkorn, Graham Montgomery asLouis Leonowens and Baylen Thomas as Captain Orton/Sir Edward Ramsey.

Lincoln Center Theater in association with Jujamcyn Theaters will soon present its new Broadway production of the William Finn-James Lapine Tony Award-winning musical Falsettos, which begins previews tomorrow, September 29 at 8pm at the Walter Kerr Theatre (219 West 48 Street). Opening night for Falsettos opens Thursday, October 27.
