The highly anticipated Broadway premiere of the original musical Dear Evan Hansen begins previews on Monday, November 14, 2016 and will officially open at the Belasco Theatre (111 West 44th Street) on Sunday, December 4, 2016. With a book by Obie Award-winner Steven Levenson, score by Tony Award nominees Benj Pasek & Justin Paul, and direction by 3-time Tony Award nomineeMichael Greif, Dear Evan Hansen had its world premiere at Arena Stage, Washington D.C., this past summer and recently concluded its record-breaking New York debut at Off-Broadway's Second Stage.

Second Stage Theatre, in association with Stacey Mindich Productions, will soon present the new musical, Dear Evan Hansen. The company will include several performers who appeared in the World Premiere production at Washington D.C.'s Arena Stage, featuring Ben Platt as the title character, Evan Hansen, in a performance that was called 'extraordinary, bordering on heroic' by Peter Marks in the Washington Post. Also reprising their performances from the 'splendid' (Marks, Washington Post) cast are Laura Dreyfuss as Zoe, Mike Faist as Connor, Rachel Bay Jones as Heidi, Will Roland as Jared, Jennifer Laura Thompson as Cynthia. New cast members John Dossett (Larry) and Kristolyn Lloyd (Alana) complete the company. The cast just met the press yesterday and you can meet the cast below!

Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater will soon present Ben Platt (Pitch Perfect, The Book of Mormon) in the original world-premiere musical debuting this summer. The production, by Tony Award-nominated composing duo Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (Dogfight; A Christmas Story, The Musical) and Outer Critics Circle Award-winning playwright Steven Levenson(Masters of Sex), is directed by Tony Award nominee Michael Greif (If/Then, Next to Normal, Rent) and will run July 10-August 23, 2015 in the Kreeger Theater. Twenty-Somethings 2, an evening spotlighting the work of songwriters Drew Overcash, Blake Pfeil, and Zoe Sarnak, was held Aug. 18 at the Highline Ballroom. Tony nominee Robin de Jesus, Kacie Sheik and Nic Rouleau were among the performers.

The cast and creative team of the hit Off-Broadway musical Murder for Two are teaming up with some of New York's brightest up and coming composers and BroadwayWorld.com every Monday night for their spring concert series, Murderous Musical Mondays. Composers form the Pace New Musicals Writers Room (including Aaron Albert & Katy Rea, Jamen Nanthakumar & Liana Wright-Mark, Kailey Marshall, Ian Fairlee, and John-Michael Lyles & David Gomez) contined the series on Monday night, April 21, 2014, immediately following the 7pm performance of Murder for Two at New World Stages (Stage 5 - 340 West 50th Street). Bacharach Reimagined, music by Burt Bacharach; lyrics by Hal David and others; musical arrangements by Kyle Riabko; conceived by Kyle Riabko and David Lane Seltzer; directed by Steven Hoggett, beginning performances Tuesday, November 19 at 7pmat NYTW, 79 East 4 Street, between Bowery and Second Avenue. Opening night is set for Thursday, December 5 at pm. What's It All About? is scheduled to run through Sunday, January 5, 2014.
