Roger O. Hirson and Stephen Schwartz's Tony Award winning musical comedy Pippin, directed by Tony Award winner Diane Paulus, is currently playing at the Music Box Theatre. In the video below, the shows acrobats get a shining moment as they show what they've got to the Act 1 finale, 'Morning Glow.'

A video interview with Stephen Schwartz, PIPPIN's composer and lyricist, recently debuted on the revival's new cast recording, which is resting easy at the top of Billboard's Cast Album Chart. On Broadway, The Book of Mormon has broken the Eugene O'Neill Theatre's house record 44 times. The National Tour of The Book of Mormon has continually broken house records across the country since opening in Denver in the summer of 2012. The Chicago production of The Book of Mormon holds the house record at the Bank of America Theatre. The show just released a new promo featuring creators Try Parker and Matt Stone and you can check it out below!

The Music Box Theatre will soon be home to the American Repertory Theatre production of Roger O. Hirson and Stephen Schwartz's Pippin, directed by Diane Paulus. The cast met the press earlier today and gave a sneak peek of the show. Storyville the Musical, an historic musical stage production involving race relations in the red-light district of early 20th century New Orleans featuring orchestrations by Tony Award Winner Larry Hochman (Book of Mormon) and performances by Broadway actresses Jannie Jones (The Full Monty), Jessica Tyler Wright (Pump Boys and Dinette), and nationally known Edward M. Artistic Director Diane Paulus, with circus choreography by Gypsy Snider of the Montreal-based circus company Les 7 doigts de la main (also known as 7 Fingers) and choreography by Chet Walker in the style of Bob Fosse. Set design is by Tony Award-winning designer Scott Pask, costume design by Dominique Lemieux, lighting design by Tony Award-winning designer Kenneth Posner, and sound design by Tony winner and A.R.T. Resident Sound Designer Clive Goodwin. Orchestration is by Tony Award-winner Larry Hochman, Music Supervision by Nadia Di Giallonardo, and the Music Director is Charlie Alterman.

He said many superlatives, including, but not limited to, 'You haven't lived til you've seen Morticia in this dress,' and 'Director Jerry Zaks has the Nobel Prize in comedy!'
