Meet Me In St. Louis is the picture-perfect nostalgic closer for The Muny's centennial season, a romantic musical based on the 1944 film that follows the Smith family through 1903 and into the new year as they await the opening of the 1904 World's Fair. The plot is a bit old fashioned by modern standards, but focuses on family, friendship, and love, and pays an affectionate tribute to a bygone era in St. Louis history.

On this day in 1978, the musical revue Ain't Misbehavin' opened on Broadway!

The Muny previously announced that Tony and Grammy Award-winning artist Heather Headleyand Tony, Emmy and Golden Globe Award-nominated artist Matthew Morrison will serve as co-hosts for The Muny's historic Centennial Gala show, An Evening with the Stars, May 18, 2018 at 9:15 p.m. at The Muny.

Encores! final production of the Encores! at 25 season at New York City Center will be Me and My Girl. Choreographer Warren Carlyle gives us a behind the scenes look at the one particularly popular dance headed for the stage, The Lambeth Walk. Check it out below!

New Line Theatre has released an anniversary video, celebrating New Line's 25th season, with St. Louis performer Charles Glenn narrating, and interviews with Muny Artistic Director Mike Isaacson, Post-Dispatch theatre critic Judy Newmark, and Broadway veteran (and St. Louisan) Ken Page, along with greetings from several top Broadway musical stars and writers, and photos and clips from New Line's first 25 years of alternative musical theatre.

Stephen Sondheim (music and lyrics) and James Lapine's (book) INTO THE WOODS opened July 21, at the Muny, and is playing through July 27 in Forest Park. Rounding out this incredible cast are Anna Blair (Granny/Cinderella's Stepmother), Jennifer Diamond (Florinda), Gary Glasgow (Steward), Maggie Lakis (Milky White) and April Strelinger (Lucinda).

The Muny's third show of its 95th Season, Nunsense Muny Style!, directed by Matt Lenz, choreographed by Teri Gibson, and supervised by Dan Goggin, will feature an all-star cast. The show runs through July 7 and in the videos below, you can meet cast members Ken Page and Phyllis Smith!
