Last night's episode of Saturday Night Live featured a Weekend Update spoof in which Seth Myers interviewed 'Julie Taymor' about the recent events unfolding at SPIDER-MAN: TURN OFF THE DARK. At one point, Taymor jokes that the mega-musicals bad luck comes from the two people in charge of props named Mac and Beth.

The two defend Taymor, and comment on the bad reviews and the on-stage accidents.

Aunque aún quedan meses por delante y todavía no han finalizado los castings, Stage Entertainment ha querido presentar ya el proyecto a los medios, coincidiendo con la puesta a la venta de las entradas, incluyendo dos de los temas del musical interpretados por Brown Lindiwe Mkhize (Rafiki en la producción de Londres), que ha interpretado 'Circle Of Life', en inglés, y por Andile Gumbi (Simba en la producción de Londres) y Jessica Mears (Nala en la producción de Hamburgo), que han cantado a dúo en castellano 'Es la Noche del Amor'.

Directed by Julie Taymor and featuring a book by Julie Taymor and Glen Berger, and new music and lyrics by U2's Bono and The Edge, SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark is now in previews at Broadway's Foxwoods Theatre (213 West 42nd Street).
