Manhattan Theatre Club's Broadway premiere of VENUS IN FUR, the acclaimed new play by David Ives, directed by Tony Award winner Walter Bobbie starts rehearsals today. The production stars Tony nominee Nina Arianda reprising her acclaimed breakthrough performance and Emmy Award nominee Hugh Dancy (Journey's End, 'The Big C'). VENUS IN FUR will begin previews on Thursday, October 13 and open Tuesday, November 8 at MTC's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre (261 West 47th Street). The Boston College Theatre Department and Robsham Theater Arts Center will present the hit musical Dirty Rotten Scoundrels April 27 - May 1, 2011 on the Robsham Main Stage. Adapted from the 1988 feature film comedy starring Steve Martin and Michael Caine, the musical, with music and lyrics by David Yazbek (The Full Monty) and a book by Jeffrey Lane, tells the story of two con artists battling head-to-head in an effort to swindle an heiress out of her riches.

The 62nd Primetime Emmy Awards is airing live coast to coast tonight, on August 29 (8-11 p.m. EST) on NBC, originating from the Nokia Theatre L.A. in Los Angeles. The awards are being produced by Don Mischer and hosted by Jimmy Fallon. The cast of GLEE opening the show in a musical skit with the help of Emmy host Jimmy Fallon, Tina Fey and Kate Gosselin. Kyra Sedgwick is this year's recipient of the 2010 Primetime Emmy for Best Leading Actress in a Drama for TNT's The Closer. In 2007 and 2010, Sedgwick won Best Actress for lead role for the show at the Golden Globes. Sedgwick has appeared on Broadway in Twelfth Night and Ah, Wilderness.

THE 101 DALMATIANS MUSICAL, which will perform in Indianapolis from March 9 through March 14, features a surprise grand finale showcasing the tremendous talents of the professional and rescued Dalmatians that will leave audiences cheering. The dogs were all trained by one of the world's foremost animal trainers, Joel Slaven, who has worked extensively with Jack Hanna on such featured films as 'Ace Ventura Pet Detective' and 'That Darn Cat.'

John Lithgow stopped by Late Night With Jimmy Fallon on Feb 11th. During his visit he and the host played 'Two Truths And A Lie', picking out the one lie among three random facts.

The 67th Golden Globe Awards were broadcast live on NBC last night from the Beverly Hilton.
