Broadway's top musical artists are set to appear on tonight's (June 21st) telecast of 'Maya & Marty' on NBC to perform 'What the World Needs Now Is Love,' an updated version of the classic Burt Bacharach/Hal David song that is helping to support the devastated LGBT community of Orlando, Fla. A slew of stage vets rehearsed the song earlier today, and Seth Rudetsky captured a sneak preview.

An all-star roster of theater artists gathered today to record the new benefit single 'What the World Needs Now is Love' for victims of the Orlando Shooting. Broadway Records President Van Dean, Seth Rudetsky and James Wesley announced the single and the charitable initiative 'Broadway for Orlando' earlier today. STARS IN THE ALLEY, presented by United Airlines, took place just last week in Shubert Alley. Hosted by Tony nominee Sean Hayes and Mo Rocca, Broadway's best once again turned out for the annual performance - including Tony winner James Monroe Iglehart, who was joined by Kathryn Allison, Tia Altimay, Lauryn Ciardullo and Kathryn Terza to perform 'Friend Like Me' from Aladdin!

Just this morning, the Drama League announced the 2016 Drama League Awards Nominees for Outstanding Play, Outstanding Revival of a Play, Outstanding Musical, Outstanding Revival of a Musical, and the much-coveted Distinguished Performance Award. The nominations were announced this morning at a ceremony hosted by Tony Award winner James Monroe Iglehart and his Aladdin castmates Adam Jacobs and Courtney Reed at Sardi's Restaurant, which were streamed live online, right here!
