La Cage Aux Folles, starring film and TV actor George Hamilton and two-time Tony Award nominee and Christopher Sieber, is on tour and is currently playing at Boston's Citi Performaning Arts Center. Winner of three 2010 Tony Awards including Best Revival of a Musical, this flashy comedy made Tony Awards history as the first show ever to win the Tony Award three times for best production. Four-time Tony Award-winner Harvey Fierstein was featured today, Wednesday, March 16 on 'The Today Show' during the 10:00-11:00 AM hour. Fierstein won a 1984 Tony Award for Best Book of a Musical for the original production of LA CAGE AUX FOLLES. Now, 28 years later, he is starring as Albin in the Tony Award-winning revival of LA CAGE AUX FOLLES at the Longacre Theatre (220 West 48th Street). In the New York area, 'Today' airs on WNBC Channel 4. Check local listings.

LA CAGE AUX FOLLES made Tony Awards history last year as the first show to ever win the Tony Award three times for best production - the classic musical comedy won six Tony Awards in 1984, including Best Musical, and a Broadway revival won two 2005 Tony Awards including the Best Revival of a Musical prize. LA CAGE also won the 2010 Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical, as well as Tony Awards for Best Actor in a Musical (Douglas Hodge) and Best Director of a Musical (Terry Johnson).
