Last weekend, a company of Broadway favorites gathered at Feinstein's/54 Below for '54 Sings One-Hit Wonders,' a concert celebrating those pop songs you can sing every lyric to but don't know anything else by that artist/group. The cast of Lin-Manuel Miranda's smash-hit HAMILTON, including Mandy Gonzalez, Alysha Deslorieux, Lexi Lawson and Taran Killam  taped a special message to the Oscar-nominated playwright on tonight's red carpet.

Tony and Grammy award-nominated Michael McElroy and Broadway Inspirational Voices released the sixth video in their 'Broadway Our Way' series today, featuring 'I Don't Need A Roof' from the musical BIG FISH, with music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa (multi-award winner, including Emmy, Outer Critics, and Drama Desk Awards; Grammy, and Tony nominations for The Wild Party, The Addams Family, I Am Harvey Milk). On last night's LATE NIGHT, guest Taran Killam talked to Seth about joining the cast of the Broadway hit musical HAMILTON as the scene-stealing King George III. 

On September 16th, 2016 Masterworks Broadway released the World Premiere Recording of the award winning new hit Polkadots: The Cool Kids Musical. Written by Douglas Lyons, Melvin Tunstall, III and Greg Borowsky, Polkadots is a new musical inspired by the true events of the Civil Rights pioneers Ruby Bridges and The Little Rock Nine. The album's release will be celebrated in a concert presentation on Monday October 24th at The Cutting Room, and BroadwayWorld has a look behind the scenes with the cast in the studio!

Broadway's biggest hit said goodbye to some of it's biggest hitters this week. Hamilton bid adieu to Tony-winning star and writer Lin Manuel Miranda, Tony winner Leslie Odom Jr, Tony nominee Phillipa Soo and 'The Bullet' herself, Ariana DeBose. That's a big change for the blockbuster and has, doubtless, left several Hamilton devotees heartbroken. We figured it'd be fitting to take a look back at some Sessions performances from the Tony-winning score that has wiggled its way into our heads and playlists and won't let go (nor do we want it to). Featuring The Color Purple's Akron Watson, Elf's Paul Ianiello, Avenue Q's Imari Hardon, country-fried acoustic trio Siren, new comer Ellis Dawson and Hamilton's own Angelia standby- Alysha Deslorieux.

Powerhouse theatre program CCM brought the legacy to Broadway Sessions last week. Let's face it, there's not a Broadway show running without a CCM alum up in there. The 2016 graduating class performed alongside starry alums- Jessica Hendy (Cats, Aida), Max Chernin (Bright Star) and Alysha Deslorieux (Hamilton, Beautiful, Sister Act). Beautiful - The Carole King Musical, about the early life and career of the legendary and groundbreaking singer/songwriter, opened on Broadway at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre (124 West 43rd Street) on January 12, 2014, where it continues to break box office records. Just last night, King made a surprise trip to the show, where she not only shocked the cast onstage, but managed to raise $30,000 for BC/EFA for a special duet of 'You've Got a Friend' with Jessie Mueller.
