The lemon room @ ZajacStudio is delighted to welcome Lena Hill as she makes her cabaret debut accompanied by LA favorite musical director Cassie Nickols. The evening includes tunes ranging from the legit standards of Rogers & Hammerstein to the newest showstoppers from recent Broadway seasons. This diverse set of songs gives Lena a chance to show a voice that has no limits, a shimmery and vibrant head voice to a belt that could peel paint off the walls!

In its 1970 Broadway incarnation Company with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by George Furth reinvented the Broadway musical. Based on a series of short plays, it was the first time a musical could boast a nonlinear plot interweaving the stories of 5 distinctive married couples, all friends of a central character named Bobby, still a bachelor at 35 and incapable of a relationship. Now at Crown City Theatre in NoHo, the rarely revived Company is receiving a handsomely mounted production through March 31.

The Dicapo Opera Theatre presented a glittering all Puccini program to celebrate the composer's 150th birthday at Lincoln Center's Rose Theater. The program featured arias and scenes from all of Puccini's operas- from LeVilli through the last music he composed and orchestrated for Turandot- including the Opening Act II of Edgar, and selections from both the Brescia and La Scala versions of Madama Butterfly.
