The New Jersey Repertory Company, located at 179 Broadway in Long Branch, is proud to present the National New Play Network world premiere of Zayd Dohrn's SICK, February 12 through March 15.

To coincide with the World Premiere of the 2008 Kendeda GPC winning play, Julia Brownell's Smart Cookie, Atlanta's finest actors and directors will present a first look at the 2008 Kendeda Graduate Playwriting Competition finalists. This is an intimate chance to hear works by some of America's most interesting up-and-coming writers.

Marin Theatre Company is pleased to present the world premiere of Magic Forest Farm by Zayd Dohrn, winner of the first annual Sky Cooper New American Play Prize in 2008. The production will be staged in MTC's 99-seat Lieberman Theatre. From one of America's hottest young playwrights comes a riveting story of a young woman's desperate search for her past. Seventeen year-old Allegra is beginning to piece together the swirling memories of her early years in the beautiful woods of Northern California on a mystical commune called Magic Forest Farm. Mixing with joyous recollections of waterfalls and wildflowers are darker revelations and startling images of the people she thinks she trusts most. A journey begins that takes Allegra back to the commune, back to the past, to confront the truth.

SICK is an off-beat comedy about one family's attempts to keep out the sickness of the world by isolating themselves in a house where all the windows are covered with plastic, where air-purifiers hum constantly, and where visitors are unwelcome. Directed by Benjamin Endsley Klein, SICK stars Meredith Napolitano, Rusty Ross, Kevin Sebastian, Jim Shankman, Liz Zazzi. Performances are Thursdays and Fridays at 8:00 p.m.; Saturdays at 3:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.; Sundays at 2:00 p.m. Special reduced price previews are on Thursday Feb 12 and Friday Feb 13 at 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Opening night with reception is Valentine's Day, Saturday Feb 14 at 8:00 p.m.

Ars Nova (Jason Eagan, Artistic Director; Jon Steingart and Jenny Wiener Steingart, Executive Producers) proudly announces its 2009 Play Group and Artists-in-Residence. Play Group is Ars Nova's vibrant and eclectic group of emerging writers who gather twice a month at Ars Nova to share new work and get peer feedback. The group offers members the chance to develop their plays with peer support, form collaborative relationships and build a strong sense of community within Ars Nova.

White, adapted for the stage by Marsha Norman, with music by Jason Robert Brown, and direction by Gary Griffin. The production features a 35-piece orchestra conducted by Jason Robert Brown. Trumpet of the Swan: A Novel Symphony is part of a season-long initiative Broadway: The Third Generation, celebrating the current generation of Broadway musical composers, and will appear for five performances in the Eisenhower Theater December 4-6, 2008. The theatrical adaptation is recommended for audiences aged seven and up.

South Coast Repertory's third NewSCRipts reading of the 2007-08 season will be Zayd Dohrn's Reborning. Reborning is the 104th play to receive a staged reading as part of SCR's venerable play reading program. The NewSCRipts reading of Reborning will take place on February 25 at 7:30 p.m. on the Julianne Argyros Stage. Zayd Dohrn's Permanent Whole Life, presented by The Alchemy Theatre Company of Manhattan, Inc., will be presented as part of the New York International Fringe Festival from August 11th through August 26th

Opening tonight, Monday, December 12th at 8:00 pm is the Alchemy Theatre Company of Manhattan, Inc. production of the New York premiere of 'Haymarket' by Zayd Dohrn, Off Broadway at The Beckett Theatre (Theatre Row), 410 West 42nd Street. Directed by Robert Saxner with set design by Heidi Meisenhelder; costumes by Victoria Tzykun; lighting by Stephen Sakowski and sound by Haddon Kime. The cast includes Morgan Baker, Birgit Huppuch, Judson Jones, Dennis McNitt, Squeaky Moore and D. Zhonzinsky. Previews began December 9th. (2 hour 5 min including intermission)
