TEEN CHOICE 2011 will celebrate the hottest teen icons in film, television, music, sports and fashion in the choicest, star-studded two-hour event airing live Sunday, Aug. 7 (8:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) on FOX. 'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' leads the TEEN CHOICE 2011 nominees with 12 nominations, and GLEE has nine nominations. In addition, 'The Vampire Diaries' has seven nominations, while 'The Hangover Part II,' Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez each earned six nominations.

Chris Hardwick Signs Deal With BBC America to Host Ministry of Laughs

BBC AMERICA has signed comedian, writer and web pundit Chris Hardwick to host the channel's new Saturday night comedy block, Ministry of Laughs, and has committed to a pilot/special based on Hardwick's hit Nerdist podcast. The pilot will be a BBC AMERICA original program.

'Saturday Night Live' alum Tina Fey returns to studio 8H for her third time as host on May 7. Fey is executive producer, head writer and star of NBC's three-time Emmy Award-winning comedy series '30 Rock.' Her performance as 'Liz Lemon' has earned Fey an Emmy Award, two Golden Globes, three SAG Awards and a People's Choice Award. Additionally, Fey's new book 'Bossypants' has been number one on the New York Times Best Seller list for the two consecutive weeks since it's release.
Rasche Joins Cast of HBO'S 'Bored to Death'

David Rasche, a stage and screen veteran has joined the cast of HBO's comedy series 'Bored to Death,' according to Deadline.com. Rasche was cast in the recurring role of Bernard Morse. Morse is a West Coast rival for George Christopher, played by Ted Danson. Morese is a health nut who made his fortune in Silicon Valley.

The biggest names in comedy were on hand as the winners of the first annual 'The Comedy Awards' were announced by COMEDY CENTRAL during tonight's star studded telecast set to air Sunday, April 10 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT. 'The Comedy Awards' is the first-ever multi-network, multi-platform, annual event dedicated to honoring and celebrating the world of comedy. David Letterman, host of 'Late Show with David Letterman' and a permanent fixture in the late night comedy landscape since 1982, was awarded 'The Comedy Awards' most prestigious honor, the 'Johnny Carson Award for Comedic Excellence.' This award will be presented annually in honor of the legendary comedian and talk show host to an individual who embodies the comedic excellence of the beloved comedic powerhouse.

Last night on Saturday Night Live, host Zach Galifianakis paid a tribute to Little Orphan Annie when he took off his shirt and pants to don the red dress made famous by the comic book character. Galifianakis lip-synched to the classic song 'Tomorrow' from the musical while he turned the pages of a poster board which read things like, 'Thanks for the applause,' and 'Clap if you endorse legalized marijuana.'

COMEDY CENTRAL and MTV Networks, both divisions of Viacom (NYSE: VIA, VIA.B), have tapped New York City to host 'The Comedy Awards,' the first-ever multi-network, multi-platform, annual event dedicated to honoring and celebrating the world of comedy, it was announced today by Doug Herzog, president, MTV Networks Entertainment Group. A night for comedy of all kinds, 'The Comedy Awards' will be taped at New York City's Hammerstein Ballroom on Saturday, March 26 and will premiere on Sunday, April 10, 2011, simultaneously across MTV Networks' COMEDY CENTRAL, Spike TV, TV Land, VH1 and Nick At Nite.
