GAZE Film Festival Turns 18, July 29- August 2

18th GAZE Film Festival will run for five days over the August bank holiday in the Light House Cinema. This year's GAZE offers a wealth of features, documentaries and shorts from countries as diverse as Uruguay, Brazil, Argentina, Spain, Switzerland, China, Sweden, Ireland, Norway, New Zealand, UK and USA.

New Theatre Ensemble on the LA Scene. The Lower Depth Theatre Ensemble is a company of seasoned professionals who work in the TV and film industry, as well as on stage. The founding company members Gregg T. Daniel, Jason Delane, Yvonne Huff, and Veralyn Jones came together several years ago to explore the idea of founding their own company, a theater home that supports family, career and craft.

Judd Apatow Takes on 'Pee-wee' in New Film

Variety reports that Judd Apatow may be teaming up with funnyman Paul Ruebens ('Pee-wee Herman) on a big screen project for Universal. Apatow will produce, but not direct, the film through Apatow Productions Company. Reubens is collaborating with Paul Rust (Inglourious Basterds, I Love You, Beth Cooper) on the screenplay, which is expected to be a family road trip adventure film.

Warner Bros. Heads to Comic-Con with Record 14 Series

Warner Bros. Television Group (WBTVG) is returning to Comic-Con International: San Diego in unprecedented fashion in 2010. A star-studded lineup of performers, producers and other members of the creative teams of a record 14 series from Warner Bros. Television, Warner Horizon Television and Warner Bros. Animation will be on-hand for panel sessions, screenings, media appearances and autograph signings. This will mark the largest contingent of talent from WBTVG ever assembled for the world's leading pop culture convention. (In 2009, WBTVG featured 12 television series at Comic-Con.)

Kerry Ellis Leads BBC Proms in the Park, 9/11

UK's The Stage reports that WICKED's Kerry Ellis, currently starring in the West End's OLIVER!, joins Queen's guitarist Brian May, soprano Kiri Te Kanawa, and tenor José Carreras for the final BBC Proms in the Park concert of the season, to be held September 11 in Hyde Park. The concert will be broadcast on Radio 2. The concert will end with a live video exchange with 'Last Night of the Proms' at the Royal Albert Hall.
