BWW Reviews: The School of American Ballet Dances Balanchine

The School of American Ballet's 50th Annual Workshop Performance on May 31, 2014, at 2 pm, was a delight. SAB students performed excerpts and one full length Balanchine ballet chosen to recognize the School's co-founder, George Balanchine, and former faculty member, Alexandra Danilova, who together launched SAB's first year-end student workshop in 1965.

Brutally weaving through family histories, complicated friendships, crooked politics, childhood visions, audacious hopes, eerie dreams, criminal addictions, and fervent spirituality in this run-of-the-mill Appalachian community, Butcher Holler Here We Come is a descent into the male psyche-in-crisis where secret desires, carnal urges, and hidden memories come boiling to the surface in a primitive territory of Earth that mirrors the subliminal mind.

MAMA WON'T FLY to Open 6/20 at Little Fish Theatre

Little Fish Theatre today announced the opening of the next show of its thirteenth season, road trip comedy, MAMA WON'T FLY. Written by three of the most produced playwrights in America, Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope and Jamie Wooten, MAMA WON'T FLY is the third Jones Hope Wooten play to be produced at Little Fish, following THE DIXIE SWIM CLUB and THE HALLELUJAH GIRLS.

School of American Ballet's 2014 WORKSHOP PERFORMANCE BENEFIT Set for 6/3

The School of American Ballet announces the Workshop Performance Benefit 2014 on Tuesday, June 3, 2014, celebrating 50 years of these annual performances. The evening begins with cocktails at 5:30pm in Julliard's Morse Hall, followed by the performance at 7pm. A seated dinner at 9:15pm followed by dancing will conclude the evening. Lockyer And Thaxton To Star In London LES MISERABLES From June!

There will be major cast changes in the West End production of the 2014 BBC Radio 2 Olivier Audience Award winner "LES MISERABLES" at the Queen's Theatre from 16 June 2014. Joining the company are: Peter Lockyer as 'Jean Valjean'; David Thaxton as 'Javert'; Tom Edden as 'Thenardier'; Celinde Schoenmaker as 'Fantine'; Michael Colbourne as 'Enjolras' and Emilie Fleming as 'Cosette'.

59E59 Theaters welcomes The Yvonne Arnaud Theatre, Guildford to Brits Off Broadway with the US premiere of SIMON GREEN: SO, THIS THEN IS LIFE, created by Simon Green and David Shrubsole, performed by Mr. Green, with musical arrangement and accompaniment by Mr. Shrubsole. SIMON GREEN: SO, THIS THEN IS LIFE begins performances tonight, May 20 for a limited engagement through Sunday, June 1.

John Gordon Sinclair and James Lance to Lead West End's PERFECT NONSENSE, June 30

John Gordon Sinclair and James Lance will play iconic duo Jeeves and Wooster in the Olivier Award-winning hitPerfect Nonsense in the West End and on tour, replacing the current cast, Robert Webb and Mark Heap, from 30 June 2014. Co-writer Robert Goodale will take over from Mark Hadfield as Seppings.

Rover Dramawerks will present the award-winning World War II drama WRENS by Anne McGravie at their new theatre venue in Plano, located in Ruisseau Village at 221 W. Parker Rd, Suite 580, at the northwest corner of Parker and 75. Performances are today, May 15 - June 7, with shows on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m., plus an additional matinee performance on Saturday, May 24 at 2:00 p.m.
