Cincinnati Shakespeare's THE TWO NOBLE KINSMEN Opens 5/2

Cincinnati S This May, Cincinnati Shakespeare Company is proud to become one of the first five theaters in the United States to "Complete the Canon" by producing all 38 plays by William Shakespeare. The final play needed to "Complete the Canon" is William Shakespeare's "The Two Noble Kinsmen", which CSC will open on May 2, 2014. This production is generously sponsored by Charles Parsons and Bill McKim and the Canon Club. The design sponsor is PNC Bank.

The Mama Foundation for the Arts presents WE ARE!, an original musical about and starring the acclaimed Gospel for Teens Choir. Conceived and written by Vy Higginsen and Ken Wydro (the creators of MAMA, I WANT TO SING), and directed by Mr. Wydro, WE ARE! is now performing in repertory on Saturday afternoons at The Dempsey Theater in Harlem (127 W. 127 St.). CHARLOTTE'S SONG Set for TNC, 4/24-5/11

'Charlotte's Song' by Nancy Ferragallo is a performance-based experimental work that explores a daughter's reality of growing up with her schizophrenic mother and how that impacted her life and healing process. It is a poetic collective of monologues, dialogue scenes and movement theater in the style of the Tanz Theater of Pina Bausch. The work is co-directed by Andreas Robertz and Mario Golden and co-choreographed by Nancy Ferragallo and Celeste Hastings.

New Jersey Performing Arts Center (President and CEO John Schreiber) and Two River Theater (Artistic Director John Dias and Managing Director Michael Hurst) announced today the full cast of Meredith Willson's The Music Man, a concert version of the classic Tony Award-winning musical, directed by Obie Award-winner Robert O'Hara, with music direction by Kenny J. Seymour. America's favorite musical about big brass bands and small-town spirit will be performed by an African-American cast. The River City, Iowa setting will be based on historical accounts of black communities established during the Great Migration as former slaves moved across the U.S. following the Civil War.
