MARVELL REP opens the first production of its 6-play 2012 season this Sunday, Feb 5th at 7:30 PM with the NY Premiere of Arthur Schnitzler's previously banned "PROFESSOR BERNHARDI" featuring Sam Tsoutsouvas in the title role. Directed by Marvell's Artistic Director Lenny Leibowitz, the 2012 season is devoted to provocative and incendiary plays that have been burned and banned. MARVELL REP, which presented an impressive inaugural New York season in 2011, has announced its 2012 repertory season devoted to provocative and incendiary plays that have been burned, banned and caused riots.

Sex, Dating, Friendship, and all the blurry lines in between - THE BOYS UPSTAIRS is a New York story that invites you upstairs to the fabulous living room of three best friends in Hells Kitchen who handle relationships, careers, and the city with style, scandal, and specialty cocktails!

You would think that Edith Wharton's fizzy little comic novel, The Glimpses Of The Moon, might have been a perfect property for Rodgers & Hart or Kern, Wodehouse & Bolton to musicalize when it was fresh off the presses in 1922.  But no, it took until 2008 for New Yorkers to get a glimpse, not to mention a pleasant earful, of a brand new frothy little musical charmer based on her book, courtesy of a couple of moderns, Tajlei Levis (book and lyrics) and John Mercurio (music).
