In the midst of the COVID-19 crisis, the Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company has established a new dance institute through Zoom, The Bridge.

The Bridge, Nai-Ni Chen's Virtual Dance Institute of boundary-breaking dance experiences and Free One-Hour Company Class is open to all dancers at an Intermediate to Advanced Level with Guest Master Artists and Company Dancers September 21-25, 2020 at 12pm EDT on Zoom.

In the midst of the COVID-19 crisis, the Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company has established a new dance institute through Zoom, The Bridge.  

As a virtual dance institute, The Bridge will invite world renowned as well as up and coming dancers and choreographer to come to guest teach the class.

In the midst of the COVID-19 crisis, the Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company is keeping its dancers in shape by conducting regular Company Classes and rehearsals online from Nai-Ni and Company dancer's living rooms using Zoom while inviting intermediate/advanced level dancers around the world to join the class at no cost.

In the midst of the COVID-19 Crisis, the Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company is keeping its dancers in shape by conducting regular Company Classes online from Nai-Ni and Company dancer's living rooms using Zoom. After a few weeks, Company members and Nai-Ni invited former dancers of the Company and friends to join through Zoom. At the same time, company dancers translated their online dance teaching skills to serve K-12 students and students with disabilities in underserved communities. Dance has brought them rays of hope and joy in their confined environment.

The dynamic introductory host for this 'Love Fest' was Loni Ackerman. 'Song and dance concert to celebrate our 25th Anniversary season (2018 - 2019) and Broadway Cares/Equity fights Aids' (Dancers Over 40 and Friends, 2018). It featured 33 dancers as well as special guests and speakers. Among those memorialized and given special tributes, George Marcy a DO40 board member was eulogized movingly by Carol Lawrence. Ms. Lawrence gave a heartfelt tribute to her mentor, George Marcy. She spoke at length of Marcy's kindnesses and invaluable help within her career. The 'star' quality that Ms. Lawrence possesses shone through as she took the stage and told the audience how very important Mr. Marcy had been in her life. He would be truly missed by her and those who knew him well.

Dancers Over 40 presented 'WE'RE STILL HERE!', a song and dance concert with performers from the Broadway and Concert stages.

The enchanting dance styles of Iwami Kagura and Nihon Buyo, a world-acclaimed Bunraku puppet troupe and a fashion show of wedding kimonos will be featured in 'Ages Of Enchantment: JPA Cultural Repertoires 2017,' a showcase of Japanese performing arts and culture, October 28, 2017 at Peter Norton Symphony Space, 2537 Broadway (at 95th Street).
