The Brooklyn-based playwright/director's play about identity politics makes its west coast debut.

Abrons Arts Center and American Realness is pleased to present the world premiere of Erin Markey's A RIDE ON THE IRISH CREAM, a sharp and playful, performance art musical about the role childhood plays in our adult intimacies.

Young Jean Lee's STRAIGHT WHITE MEN will have its West Coast premiere November 20 - December 20, 2015, at the Center Theatre Group/Kirk Douglas Theatre, directed by Lee and presented in collaboration with the Center for the Art of Performance at UCLA. The first U.S. performances of the play since The Public Theater presented its New York premiere last fall will feature a cast of Frank Boyd, Richard Riehle, Brian Slaten and Gary Wilmes.

Members and constituents of United Scenic Artists Local USA 829 have been busy speaking out against The New York Times' recent decision to leave out the names of shows' designers when listing credits for theatre productions at the end of reviews. As of today, their hard work has paid off.

Crowded Fire Theater (CFT) Crowded Fire's newly appointed Artistic Director Mina Morita unveiled the 2016 mainstage season lineup of three contemporary plays that continue to uphold the company's long tradition of producing boundary - pushing, thought-provoking theater. STRAIGHT WHITE MEN written and directed by Young Jean Lee, opens this Sunday, November 22 at 6:30 p.m. at the Center Theatre Group/Kirk Douglas Theatre. The West Coast premiere of the production, presented in collaboration with Center for the Art of Performance at UCLA, will have two previews on Friday, November 20 and Saturday, November 21 at 8 p.m. and will run through December 20, 2015.
