Forever King Of Pop: Gran éxito en Semana Santa

Forever King Of Pop ha sido visto por más de 10.000 espectadores esta semana. Debido al gran éxito de este espectáculo desde su estreno hace 3 semanas se ha prorrogado su permanencia en el Lope de Vega hasta el 9 de Mayo.

Broadway veterans Ivonne Coll (Tony-nominated Chronicle of Death Foretold), June Gable (Tony nominee for Candide), Leslie Easterbrook (original Broadway production of California Suite), and Barbara Niles (Jesus Christ Superstar) are four ladies of 'a certain age' in a sparkling new musical with book by Jennie Fahn and toe-tapping music and lyrics by Joe Symon that will end its run on April 4th.

New Perspectives Theatre Company Presents HAMLET 5/13-23

New Perspectives Theatre Company (Melody Brooks, Artistic Director) announced today that the company will produce Hamlet, its first main stage Shakespeare play since losing its Pelican Studio Theatre four years ago. Directed by Melody Brooks, performances of Hamlet run May 13 through 23, 2010 at Shetler Studios' Theatre 54 (244 West 54th St., 12th Floor).

Forever King Of Pop, el espectáculo homenaje a Michael Jackson que se estrenó el pasado 12 de Marzo en el Teatro Lope de Vega de Madrid, ha obtenido un éxito rotundo en su primera semana en cartel. Jubilee Theatre's THE MISSISSIPPI DELTA Closes 2/28

Jubilee Theatre continues their twenty-ninth season with the powerful and moving drama by Dr. Endesha Ida Mae Holland, From the Mississippi Delta. Professor Holland, a noted scholar and dramatist, wrote a memoir of the same name in 1997. This powerful story chronicles her journey from poverty and prostitution in the Jim Crow South to civil rights activism, a Ph.D. and an academic career. Previews for the production will begin January 29, and the production officially opens on February 5.

POSTMORTEM Closes at Sunshine Brooks Theatre

Postmortem (by Ken Ludwig) is a whodunit set in the 1920's featuring William Gillette who played Sherlock Holmes on Broadway for 30 years. The murder (if it was murder) happened a year earlier and everyone, including William is a suspect. Humor, suspense and a challenge to determine 'whodunit' make it a truly fun evening. The show will play its final performance on Feb 14.
