National Theatre Live presents the international broadcast of Carrie Cracknell's acclaimed National Theatre production of Terence Rattigan's The Deep Blue Sea tonight, October 6, 2016.

The Michigan Premiere of native Michigander Richard Strand's comedy about mothers and daughters, The Realization of Emily Linder, will have its Champagne Celebration on the Opening Night of the 60th 'Diamond' Anniversary season of the Detroit Repertory Theatre on Thursday, November 03, 2016 at 8:30 PM. Guests are invited to join the cast and crew in a champagne toast in the elegant Gilda Snowden Lobby Gallery of the Rep after the show.

Camilla Crawford, New York Film Academy graduate and South African actress, writer, director and producer, at the mere age of 22 has brought her talents abroad in order to present her original one-act play, one-act cabaret, A Philosophical Protest, at the West End Lounge in New York City on October 7th and 8th.

On Monday, September 26, 2016, The New York Innovative Theatre Foundation, the organization who for the past 12 years has been dedicated to celebrating Off-Off-Broadway, announced the 2016 recipients at its annual awards ceremony, The IT Awards. Hosted by a crowd favorite, Jason Kravits and directed by award winning director and sound designer, DeLisa White the ceremony took place from 7pm to 10pm at the Kaye Playhouse at Hunter College.

???????Gospel singer Christina has released her debut project, titled JUST BELIEVE, today. The 7-song project boasts contributions from Aaron Sledge (Mary Mary, Jessica Reedy), D Jamel Kimbrough (Todd Dulaney), and Darrel Walls of The Walls Group.

Expectations are high -- The Theater Project had previously produced CROWNS in 2010, so "In 2016, we expect to raise the roof at each and every performance in Maplewood," says artistic director Mark Spina. "The music in CROWNS makes you want to join right in - and people do!"   The production, made possible in part by a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts, begins its four-week run September 29.

Native Earth Performing Arts has announced the line-up for their 29th annual festival of Indigenous work, Weesageechak Begins to Dance. From intimate relationships to dystopian futures, comedy, dance, poetry and everything in between, Weesageechak 29 will showcase new Indigenous works in Native Earth's Aki Studio from November 9th to 19th, 2016.

Intersection Theatre presents Pearls & Poison, or The Appropriate Amount of Rouge, a spell-binding story of unlikely murderers. Conceived by producer and director Yolanda Ferrato, the work is inspired by the violence of children's rhymes and the macabre works of artists such as Edward Gorey and Hillaire Belloc. Pearls & Poison premiers at Hub 14 for a limited Toronto engagement from September 16th to September 18th.

Internationally acclaimed harpist Yolanda Kondonassis is the executive producer of a new album, Ginastera: One Hundred, celebrating the centennial of the iconic Argentine composer Alberto Ginastera in 2016, which will be released by Oberlin Music and distributed by Naxos on October 14, 2016. The album is produced by Erica Brenner with recording engineers Paul Eachus, Larry Rock, and Michael Bishop.
