National Theatre has announced today the new season for June 2017 - January 2018. Take a look at the shows coming to the theatre!

Dr. Peter Simon, Michael and Sonja Koerner President & CEO of The Royal Conservatory of Music, Mervon Mehta, Executive Director of Performing Arts, and James Anagnoson, Dean of The Glenn Gould School, revealed today the details of the ninth concert season since the opening of Koerner Hall in 2009.

The Skirball Cultural Center proudly presents the twenty-first season of its annual free summertime concert series, Sunset Concerts. Coinciding with the Skirball's latest exhibition, Paul Simon: Words & Music (on view through September 3), the new season draws inspiration from Paul Simon's pioneering efforts to bring world music to pop audiences while building bridges across cultures.

Salome, that dancing seductress who demanded the head of John the Baptist, has been reclaimed by Yael Farber in this new feminist interpretation (the RSC stages Oscar Wilde's more familiar take next month). Or at least that's the intention, but Farber's production sacrifices the personal for the mythic - ironically once again losing the girl history erased in a storm of overblown symbolism.
