Sandy Stewart and Bill Charlap's SOMETHING TO REMEMBER Album to be Released Tomorrow

GHOSTLIGHT RECORDS has announced the release of the new CD from the Grammy Award-nominated vocalist SANDY STEWART, and her son BILL CHARLAP, the world-renowned jazz pianist. Something To Remember will be available on Tuesday, December 4 on iTunes, Amazon and other music retailers. In addition to classic songs by Rodgers & Hart ("Where Or When"), Henry Mancini & Leslie Bricusse ("Two For The Road") and Irving Berlin ("Isn't This A Lovely Day"), the album features rarely-heard gems such as "I Was Telling Him About You" with music by Moose Charlap (the composer of Peter Pan starring Mary Martin, also Bill's father and Sandy's late husband) and "Stars" by noted songwriter Charles Sweeney. Bill Charlap and Sandy Stewart Play Feinstein's, Now thru 11/24

Feinstein's at Loews Regency will continue its Fall 2012 season with the debut engagement of mother-son duo of world-class jazz pianist, Bill Charlap and Grammy Award-nominated vocalist Sandy Stewart. The pair will perform a collection of ballads from some of the most popular songwriters of the twentieth century such as George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Harold Arlen, Richard Rodgers and Irving Berlin. The show will run from tonight, November 19 to 24 at the Loews Regency Hotel (540 Park Avenue at 61st Street).

Segerstrom Center Welcomes Monterey Jazz Festival on Tour 55th Anniversary Celebration, 1/13

The Monterey Jazz Festival on Tour 55th Anniversary Celebration makes its way to Segerstrom Center for the Arts on January 13 in the Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall. The all- star ensemble will perform classic jazz and original compositions by critically acclaimed, Grammy Award-winning artists: bassist and musical director Christian McBride, vocalist Dee Dee Bridgewater, saxophonist Chris Potter, trumpeter Ambrose Akinmusire, pianist Benny Green and drummer Lewis Nash.
