Now entering its twelfth year, the Rockettes Summer Intensive offers aspiring dancers the unique opportunity to train with the Rockettes as well as a Rockettes Director/Choreographer and learn their signature precision dance technique. Acceptance into the Rockettes Summer Intensive is a crucial stepping stone for Rockettes hopefuls who aspire and dream to one day dance with the legendary company. Since the inception of the Summer Intensive in 2001, more than 55 dancers who have gone through the Rockettes Dance Education programs have gone on to become part of the iconic New York dance company. Auditions begin January 6, 2013 in Dallas, TX; Chicago, IL; and Washington, DC and run through February 2013 in 15 different cities across the country.
