25th Anniversary LES MISÉRABLES Tickets Now On Sale, Jan. 4 – 15

Tickets for Cameron Mackintosh's new 25th anniversary production of LES MISERABLES are now on sale for the premiere Philadelphia engagement at the Academy of Music beginning January 4- 15, 2011. The Philadelphia engagement will mark the first official stop on the multi-city national tour. The all new production of LES MISERABLES features glorious new staging and spectacular reimagined scenery inspired by the paintings of Victor Hugo. The press opening is Wednesday, January 5 at 7:30 pm.

Eric McCormack Signs on for TNT's Pilot 'Perception'

Emmy and Screen Actors Guild Award winner Eric McCormack (Will & Grace, Who Is Clark Rockefeller?) has signed up to play the lead role in TNT's PERCEPTION (working title), a dramatic pilot from executive producer Kenneth Biller (Smallville, Legend of the Seeker) and co-executive producer Mike Sussman (Star Trek: Voyager). This marks McCormack's third project with TNT after previously starring in the 2009 series Trust Me and co-producing the 2007 pilot Imperfect Union. He will also act as a producer on PERCEPTION.

Universal Pictures Stage Productions, Working Title Films and Old Vic Productions in association with Weinstein Live Entertainment announced today, along with Broadway In Chicago, that the first national tour of Billy Elliot the Musical, the 2009 Tony Award-winning Best Musical featuring music by Elton John, book and lyrics by Lee Hall, choreography by Peter Darling and direction by Stephen Daldry, will now play its final performance in Chicago on Sunday, November 28th at the Ford Center for the Performing Arts, Oriental Theatre (24 W. Randolph Street). Now entering its final six weeks, Billy Elliot to date has performed to over 365,000 people and grossed $27 million dollars (through October 17).

Wexner Center And Ohio State University Receive Creative Campus Grant

From an application field of 140 campuses, the Wexner Center for the Arts and The Ohio State University have been awarded a $140,000 Creative Campus Innovations grant by the Association of Performing Arts Presenters to support the development of New York-based theater company The Builders Association's ROAD TRIP (working title), a multimedia theater work looking at the contemporary foreclosure crisis through the lens of Steinbeck's The Grapes of Wrath.
