Northlight Theatre, under the direction of Artistic Director BJ Jones and Executive Director Timothy J. Evans, presents Woody Sez - The Life and Music of Woody Guthrie, devised by David M. Lutkin and Nick Corley, directed by Nick Corley. The production runs September 14 - October 21, 2012 at Northlight Theatre, 9501 Skokie Blvd.

Teddy's Bar & Grill will celebrate the 100th Anniversary of singer-songwriter Woody Guthrie's birthday with the Woody Guthrie Centennial Celebration, a marathon concert features performances by local Williamsburg bands and artists, on Friday, July 20th at 8:00 PM. A portion of the night's proceeds will benefit O.U.T.R.A.G.E., Williamsburg / Greenpoint Organizations United for Trash Reduction And Garbage Equity.

To celebrate Woody Guthrie's 100th birthday, the Freight & Salvage Coffeehouse presents a concert production of Woody Guthrie's American Song, an award-winning musical based on the life and music of the iconic American folk singer, written and directed by Peter Glazer, and performed by a cast of talented actor/musicians running from tonight, July 11 to July 22.

In honor of the 100th anniversary of Woody Guthrie's birth, WFUV will commemorate the life and legacy of the folk music icon with special programming on the weekend of his birthday, July 14th.

Mandy Patinkin will narrate PBS's AMERICAN MASTERS JOFFREY BALLET on Friday December 28th at 9pm. The special will cover the story of the first quintessentially American dance company founded by Robert Joffrey and Gerald Arpino, who pioneered a new dance philosophy.

Lookingglass Theatre Company presents the world premiere of EASTLAND: A NEW MUSICAL, written by Artistic Director Andrew White with music by Ben Sussman and Artistic Associate Andre Pluess and directed by Amanda Dehnert. Theatricum Botanicum's 2012 Summer Repertory Season will present four plays in repertory on its mainstage: Measure for Measure and A Midsummer Night's Dream by William Shakespeare; Heartbreak House by George Bernard Shaw; and The Women of Lockerbie by Deborah Brevoort. In addition, Cherry Docs by David Gow will get six performances in Theatricum's intimate second performance space.

Performances run through this weekend at the Loeb Drama Center, 64 Brattle Street, Cambridge.
