New York Theatre Workshop has announced the playwrights and directors selected for the 2016/17 Season 2050 Fellowship. The playwrights are Beto O'Byrne, Ming Peiffer, and Francis Weiss Rabkin and the directors are Danny Sharron, Stevie Walker-Webb, and Mo Zhou.

Theater Schmeater is pleased to present Heidi Schreck's enigmatic play Creature, opening on Friday May 27th, and running on Thursday Fridays and Saturdays until June 25th. A Seattle native, Ms. Schreck has found success on the East Coast as a playwright, and this early play is the first of her work to be produced in NYC.

History Matters/Back To The Future, committed to promoting the study and production of women's plays of the past, has announced the winner of the second annual Judith Barlow Prize. Lindsay Adams, a student at The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., has been chosen for her one-act play, HER OWN DEVICES, which was inspired by Mary Chase's Pulitzer Prize-winning play Harvey.

Mosaic Theater Company of DC's Inaugural Season arrives at a climactic finale with the lively and comedic Off-Broadway hit, When January Feels Like Summer, written by Cori Thomas and directed by Mosaic Theater Managing Director & Producer Serge Seiden (Bad Jews, Apple Family Plays).

Drama Desk, Tony®, and Emmy® Award nominee and Theater World Award and NAACP Image Award winner Vanessa Williams (Into The Woods, The Trip to Bountiful, 'Ugly Betty') and Drama Desk, Tony®, Emmy, Golden Globe, and Drama League Award Nominee and SAG & TV Land Award winner Matthew Morrison (Finding Neverland, Hairspray, The Light in the Piazza, 'Glee') just announced the nominations for the 61st Annual Drama Desk Awards.

Performances begin tonight for The Sensuality Party, a new play by Justin Kuritzkes, presented by The New Group as part of the company's 2015-2016 season. This New York premiere, directed by Danya Taymor, features Catherine Combs, Jeff Cuttler, Katherine Folk-Sullivan, Jake Horowitz, Layla Khoshnoudi and Rowan Vickers.

Celebrate the spring season with a visit to Midtown Detroit's destination theatre, concluding its 53rd season with the classic farce A FLEA IN HER EAR, written by Georges Feydeau, with a new translation by acclaimed playwright David Ives. Performances begin tonight, April 22.

Lincoln Center Theater will welcome Michael Aronov, Adam Dannheisser, Jennifer Ehle, Daniel Jenkins, Dariush Kashani, Jefferson Mays, Daniel Oreskes, Henny Russell, Joseph Siravo, and T. Ryder Smith in the cast of its upcoming production of OSLO, a new play by J.T. Rogers, directed by Bartlett Sher.

The Flea Theater is excited to welcome playwright Sarah Gancher with the world premiere of THE PLACE WE BUILT. Artistic Associate Danya Taymor (My Daughter Keeps Our Hammer, I Hate Mexicans) directs members of The Bats, The Flea's resident acting company, with music direction and arrangements by The Bengsons. Previews start tonight, April 14th, with opening night slated for April 25th.

BroadwayWorld is excited to report the complete cast and creative team of Kimber Lee's beautiful drama tokyo fish story, directed by May Adrales, coming to The Old Globe this spring.

Berkeley Repertory Theatre today announced the West Coast premiere of FOR PETER PAN ON HER 70TH BIRTHDAY by Tony Award-nominated playwright Sarah Ruhl and directed by Les Waters.

The annual Playwrights for a Cause benefit will be Sunday, July 24th at 7:30 pm at the Atlantic Theatre (Linda Gross Theater), 336 West 20th Street, NYC 10011. The special performance will include six original plays. This year the playwrights for the benefit will include: Israel Horovitz, Dominique Morisseau, Antoinette Nwandu, John Patrick Shanley, Regina Taylor as well as an award-winning writer from the Planet Connections community that will be announced later.

Cleveland Play House's Centennial Season continues with MR. WOLF, an intense and compelling drama about faith, hope and healing.
