Women's Project Theater, under the leadership of Producing Artistic Director Lisa McNulty and Managing Director Maureen Moynihan, just announced the 2015-2016 Season and the beginning of its three-year residency at the McGinn/Cazale Theater (2162 Broadway, at 76th Street), creating an artistic home for women in theater.

Third Rail presents OR, by Liz Duffy Adams, Sep 18 - Oct 10, 2015, Wednesday-Saturday at 7:30pm, Sunday at 2pm. How to Live on Earth is a haunting new play about our unrelenting obsession with the next frontier and the desire to give your life for something greater than yourself. Inspired in part by the Mars One project to colonize Mars by 2025 - this piece is a funny, wry, and deeply truthful portrait of the fears and hopes that drive us towards exploration and expansion.

Colt Coeur Artistic Director Adrienne Campbell-Holt and Managing Director Amy Ashton announce the company's 6th season. The 2015-2016 season will include World Premieres by MJ Kaufman and William Francis Hoffman. While Colt Coeur spends the year developing plays and creating innovative initiatives, this is the first time they will be presenting a two-play season.

The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation announced today that 41 organizations in its New York Theater Program will receive grants totaling $4.1 million. Ranging from $10,000 to $160,000, the grants will be used toward operating support over the next two years.

Staged readings for the 2015 National Playwrights Conference begin this week at the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center. Under leadership from Artistic Director Wendy C. Goldberg in her 11th season, the famed conference will develop eight new plays, selected from a pool of 1,300 submissions, with support from an award-winning slate of actors and directors.

InFusion Theatre Company presents Crystal Skillman's Another Kind of Love, directed by InFusion Artistic Director Mitch Golob with music direction by Jefferey Thomas and original music by Tony-nominated and Obie-winner Heidi Rodewald, lyrics by Caroline Dorsen and Crystal Skillman, now through June 14, at The Chopin Theatre, 1543 W. The gala will honor Tony Award and six-time Emmy Award winning actress Tyne Daly, President and Vice Chairman, Fairchild Fashion Media Stephanie George and Group President, North America, Procter & Gamble Carolyn Tastad.  Hosted by Two-time Tony & Emmy Award-winner Bebe Neuwirth, with special appearances by Four-time Tony Award & Emmy winner Terrence McNally (It's Only a Play, The Visit), Sierra Boggess (The Little Mermaid, It Shoulda Been You), Jeb Brown (Beautiful, The Carole King Musical), Margo Seibert (Rocky), and more, the Gala will take place on Monday, June 8, 2015 (6:30pm Cocktails, 8:00pm Dinner/Awards/Performances) at The Edison Ballroom, 240 W 47th Street.

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater and Women's Project Theater present the world premiere of The Undeniable Sound of Right Now, written by Laura Eason (S e x with Strangers,'House of Cards') and directed by Kirsten Kelly (Slipping), currently in previews at the Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, 224 Waverly Place, west of Seventh Avenue South. The Jungle Theater today announced the appointment of Sarah Rasmussen as Artistic Director, effective July 1, 2015. Rasmussen was chosen after a nationwide search to fill the role Jungle founder Bain Boehlke has held since 1991. Boehlke announced in July 2014 that he was stepping down in summer 2015.
