Today, in order to fulfill its commitment to deliver daring and diverse work, the Tony Award-winning Berkeley Repertory Theatre announced special schedules for certain shows in its upcoming season: The Great Game: Afghanistan, The Last Cargo Cult, and The Agony and the Ecstasy of Steve Jobs.

As previously reported on BroadwayWorld, the Japanese American Cultural and Community Center of Los Angeles and the Library Foundation of Los Angeles will present 'An Evening with John Waters: On Neurotic Happiness' on June 8, 2010 at 8pm. He will appear in conversation with actress and author Carrie Fisher. Waters will discuss his new memoir, 'Role Models.'

As it concludes a season in which three of its shows opened on Broadway, the Tony Award-winning Berkeley Repertory Theatre has elected officers to lead it through another year of fearless theatre. At the annual meeting for this renowned nonprofit, leaders from the Bay Area's top firms renewed their commitment to Berkeley Rep's board of trustees and pledged their support for its 43rd season, which presents eight adventurous shows here at home and sends another acclaimed production to London.

Voting has concluded for BroadwayWorld's 2010 Theatre Fans' Choice Awards, and with hundreds of thousands of votes cast, we've had another record year further solidifying the Theatre Fans' Choice Awards place as the largest, and most popular online Broadway polling event of its kind!

Deadline.com has been the first to report that actress Carrie Fisher is to appear in a guest role on 'Entourage,' HBO's comedy series. Fisher's character, Anna Fowler, is a reporter who works for Deadline Hollywood. She may reappear on the show.

United Solo, a consortium of theater artists dedicated to the genre of solo performance, is pleased to announce the first annual United Solo Theater Festival, which will take place November 12-14, 2010 at Theatre Row in New York City.

Whatsonstage.com is suggesting that Carrie Fisher's Wishful Drinking may get West End Treatment as year as later this year. If true, this would be the second big announcement surrounding the show, which is being filmed at the South Orange Performing Arts Center on June 25th for an HBO documentary feature, BroadwayWorld learned today.
