For the week ending Sunday, March 4, WICKED broke the house record at the Pantages Theatre - with a box office take of $1,768,110 - and became the highest grossing attraction in Los Angeles theatre history. The previous record holder was The Producers, June 2003 at the Pantages.

John Rubinstein to Play The Wizard in LA Wicked

Veteran stage, screen and television star John Rubinstein is announced to play The Wizard in the new Los Angeles production of WICKED, which begins performances on February 10, 2007, at the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood. Rubinstein joins stars Eden Espinosa and Megan Hilty, who play Elphaba and Glinda, and Carol Kane, who plays Madame Morrible. Kane appeared in the role during the sold out engagement of WICKED at the Pantages Theatre last summer, and then went on to play the part on Broadway.

For the week ending December 31, 2006, WICKED, the musical that tells the untold story of the Witches of Oz, once again set a new record for the highest grossing week in Broadway history with a weekly box office take of $1,800,310.
Murney, Kassebaum and Arcelus Join Broadway Wicked 1/9

On Tuesday, January 9, three new principal cast members will join the Broadway company of the smash-hit musical WICKED at the Gershwin Theatre (222 W. 51st St.). Kendra Kassebaum will play Glinda, a role she originated on tour, while Julia Murney, who played Elphaba on tour, will reprise her role. Sebastian Arcelus joins the Broadway Company as Fiyero, having starred in the role on tour.
