Stark Naked Theatre Company presents its first-ever holiday production with the world premiere of Ho Ho Humbug - a hilarious Christmas-themed comedy produced in association with Third Coast Creative. Theater for the New City (Crystal Field, Executive Director) will present Lesser America's World Premiere of Brian Watkins' (My Daughter Keeps Our Hammer with The Flea) family drama Wyoming, January 15-31 at Theater for the New City (155 1st Avenue between 9th and 10th Street).

YELLOW SOUND LABEL will release HERRINGBONE, the two-disc solo CD debut by Tony Award-winner BD WONG. The unique concert album marks the recording premiere of the marvelously spooky one-man Off-Broadway musical, which features book by Tom Cone, music by Skip Kennon and lyrics by Ellen Fitzhugh (based on the play by Tom Cone), with Wong playing twelve characters. It was recorded live at a special event at Dixon Place in New York City. The album - produced by Scott Lehrer with Emmy Award-winner and Grammy Award-nominee Michael Croiter (Matilda, Big Fish, Heathers) serving as executive producer and Dan Lipton as musical director and associate producer - will be available online and in stores today, December 2. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the PARENTHOOD star has signed on to star in a new NBC comedy project from Ellen DeGeneres.

This December, Marin Theatre Company continues its 48th Season with a presentation of Reduced Shakespeare Company performing their The Complete History of Comedy (abridged), starring writer/directors Reed Martin and Austin Tichenor, with Dominic Conti. The "Bad Boys of Abridgement" will leave no joke untold as they deconstruct the entire history of comedy in a dizzying night's entertainment.

Broadway stalwart Jeff McCarthy joins the all-American cast of the Broadway musical CHICAGO, which is set to play Solaire Resort and Casino's The Theatre from next Wednesday, December 3, to Sunday, December 21. McCarthy will play the role of criminal lawyer Billy Flynn, alongside Bianca Marroquin's Roxie Hart, Terra C. MacLeod's Velma Kelly, Jacob Keith Watson's Amos Hart, Roz Ryan's Matron 'Mama' Morton, and C. Newcomer.

The Shakespeare Theatre Company (STC) continues its 2014-2015 mainstage season with one of William Shakespeare's late masterpieces,The Tempest. STC Affiliated Artist Ethan McSweeny, following his imaginative production of A Midsummer Night's Dream two seasons ago, applies his flair for visual panache to The Tempest, in which sprites, goddesses and fools hold court. The Tempest will play at the Sidney Harman Hall (610 F Street NW) from December 2, 2014-January 11, 2015.
