The Old Globe today announced it will present the Second Annual New Voices Festival, a weekend of readings of new American plays by professional playwrights, December 12 - 14, 2014.

The Elephant Man, directed by six-time Tony Award nominee Scott Ellis, and starring Bradley Cooper, Patricia Clarkson, and Alessandro Nivola is now in previews with an opening night of Sunday, December 7, 2014 at Broadway's Booth Theatre. Joe DiPIetro's LIVING ON LOVE, which premiered earlier this year at Williamstown Theatre Festival, could soon be making its way to New York.

Lincoln Center Theater has announced that Mamoudou Athie, Diane Lane, Gayle Rankin, and Tony Shalhoub will be featured in its upcoming production of THE MYSTERY OF LOVE AND SEX, a new play by Bathsheba Doran. The production, which will be directed by Sam Gold, will begin previews Thursday, February 5 and open on Monday, March 2 at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater (150 West 65 Street).

The Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute along with The Lee Strasberg Creative Center -- in collaboration with NYU Tisch School of the Arts' Undergraduate Department of Drama -- present THE SCHOOL PLAY, a world-premiere play written by Frank Winters, to be presented as part of the 3rd Annual Clifford Odets Ensemble Play Commission, from December 10 to 13 at the Marilyn Monroe Theater (115 E. 15 St.) in New York City. Warehouse Theatre Company will open it's 2015 season with Kenneth Lonergan's 1996 comedy This Is Our Youth. The play, fresh off it's Broadway debut, will receive it's Central Ohio premiere at Warehouse Theatre beginning with a preview performance on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at MadLab Theatre and Gallery.

L.A. Theatre Works brings their riveting stage adaptation of this classic American film dealing with racial prejudice to Harris Center for the Arts in Folsom. The play demonstrates the slow evolution of attitudes, but leaves the characters, and America, with a long way to go. This presentation is a special event commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

The Old Globe teams with the University of San Diego Graduate Theatre Program to present William Shakespeare's Pericles, Prince of Tyre, directed by Ray Chambers and running tonight, November 15 - November 23 in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center.

New Repertory Theatre's 2014-2015 season will culminate with the Next Rep World Premiere of SCENES FROM AN ADULTERY by Ronan Noone. The production will replace THE MILK TRAIN DOESN'T STOP HERE ANYMORE, which was to feature Olympia Dukakis. Due to family commitments, Ms. Dukakis will be unable to appear in the production.

Actress/writer/comedian NANCY REDMAN joins forces with director AUSTIN PENDLETON for their third collaboration on the United Solo Theatre Festival: 'The Doctor Is Not In,' a sci-fi comedy exploring the hypocrisy of Hippocrates, November 15 at 2 PM, at Theater Row, 410 West 42nd Street. (this November 15, 2 PM, performance was added after the quick sell-out of Redman's October show.)

Jordan Dean (Mamma Mia! CSC's Midsummer), Jeff Hayenga (The Man Who Came to Dinner, The Elephant Man), Mark Junek ('Smash', Berkeley Rep's Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike) and Elizabeth Morton (Death of a Salesman) will lead an industry reading of Locust Song, a new play by Jerry Marsini on November 17th at 7 pm and on November 18th at 12:30pm at the WorkShop Theater Company's Main Stage, 312 W 36th Street. Drama Desk Nominee, Tony Speciale, who recently directed the Barry Manilow musical Harmony (2014 Suzi Bass Award winner Outstanding Director of a Musical & Outstanding Production of a Musical), will direct the Manhattan reading.
