Celebrating its 10th anniversary, Toronto experimental theatre company Kadozuke Kollektif, in partnership withBad New Days, presents the world premiere of Richard III, The Pleasures of Violence, Artistic Director Tatiana Jennings' provocative and innovative multimedia reimagining of the William Shakespeare classic. Richard III previews September 9, opens today, September 10 and runs through to September 28 at Zuke Studios, the company's storefront home in the Junction.

The Film Society of Lincoln Center will host Ethan Hawke on September 30 and Richard Gere on October 8 as guests of honor for “An Evening With…” at the 52nd New York Film Festival.

WAM Theatre has announced the cast for a reading of Waxworks by Trina Davies, the final reading in the Fresh Takes Play Reading Series. An exploration of the tales we are told and the heroes and villains we create, Waxworks tells the story of Madame Tussaud, an extraordinary artist who developed the first worldwide entertainment brand. WAM Theatre will present the reading on Sunday, September 21 at 3:00 p.m. at No. Six Depot Roastery and Cafe, 6 Depot Street in West Stockbridge, MA. Waxworks is the fifth and final presentation in the new Fresh Takes play reading series, which offers new and reimagined works that tell women's stories. The series has proven popular with audiences, selling out its first four readings.

PlayMakers opens season Sept. 17 with Tony Award-winning comedy

BILLY SHAKESPEARE is a spicy little independent film by Deborah Voorhees that imagines what might happen if William Shakespeare tried to make it as a writer in today's Hollywood rather than Elizabethan England. Quirky characters, compromising situations, and the kind of deadpan humor made famous in Waiting For Guffman collide with hilarious moments of camp to create a madcap world in which young Billy just can't get a break.

The Porters of Hellsgate present The Winter's Tale by William Shakespeare, produced by The Porters of Hellsgate and directed by Jesse James Thomas, playing October 18-November 15 at the Actors Forum.

Cincinnati Shakespeare Company officially opens their 2014-2015 season with the highly anticipated production of the Regional Premiere of F. Scott Fitzgerald's 'The Great Gatsby' adapted for the stage by Simon Levy. This production is directed by Cincinnati Shakespeare's Producing Artistic Director, Brian Isaac Phillips and features Cincinnati Shakespeare's Resident Ensemble of actors including Jared Joplin, Justin McCombs, Sara Clark and Kelly Mengelkoch.
