Photo Flash: Neil Patrick Harris Unites with NEWSIES Cast for Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade

Cast members from Newsies, the Tony Award® winning new American musical, will appear with Neil Patrick Harris in the opening number of the 2013 Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade. The original song, 'Are You Ready For Christmas?,' is staged by Newsies' Tony Award winning choreographer, Christopher Gattelli and written by David Javerbaum ('The Daily Show,' Cry-Baby) and Adam Schlesinger ('Fountains of Wayne,'Cry-Baby), who have previously penned tunes for Neil Patrick Harris' hosting turns on The Tony Awards and The Emmy Awards. The parade airs on ABC, beginning at 10:00am EST/ 9:00am C/P, on Christmas morning, Wednesday, December 25, 2013.

The Macaroons to Perform Two Family Concerts at Jewish Museum, 12/25

The Macaroons will perform two concerts for families at The Jewish Museum on Wednesday, December 25 at 11:30am and 2:00pm. Families can enjoy a guitar-based sound that recalls everything from the Kinks to Queen to the Shins. The Macaroons will perform such songs as Hurry Up, Light the Candle, Mezuzah, Billy the Bagel, and more.

Gustafer Yellowgold Family Concert Set for Jewish Museum 12/15

The Jewish Museum will present Gustafer Yellowgold, a concert for families featuring award-winning illustrator/songwriter Morgan Taylor, on Sunday, December 15 at 2 pm. Taylor developed the Gustafer Yellowgold experience as equal parts pop rock concert and minimally animated movie. A storyteller with a comedic bent, Taylor has dreamed up a world of catchy and original story-songs about Gustafer (a friendly guy from the sun who landed in the Minnesota woods), performed alongside a large screen displaying vividly colored animations with karaoke-style subtitles. Gustafer resides in a cottage with his menagerie of friends, including his pet eel; Slim, a tuxedo-wearing pterodactyl best friend; and a dragon named Asparagus who inhabits the fireplace and loves corn on the cob.

Ben Rudnick & Friends Perform Hanukkah Concert at Jewish Museum, 12/1

Ben Rudnick & Friends will perform a Hanukkah concert for families at The Jewish Museum on Sunday, December 1 at 2:00pm, blending musical styles from country to bluegrass, to rock and second-line New Orleans jazz. Families can hear original songs from Rudnick's award-winning albums as well as twists on such Hanukkah classics as 'I Have a Little Dreidel' and 'Oh Chanukah, Oh Chanukah.' Ben Rudnick (guitar and vocals) will be joined by John Zevos (mandolin and vocals), Chris Zevos (bass guitar and vocals), David Dillon (drums), and special guest Kenny Kosek (fiddle).

NEWSIES National Tour to Play San Antonio During 2014-15 Season

Newsies, the Tony Award-winning "critics' pick" Broadway musical smash, will play an exclusive engagement at the Majestic Theatre as part of the 2014-15 Broadway in San Antonio season. Information regarding engagement dates and how to purchase groups and single tickets will be announced at a later time.

NEWSIES to Play Toronto as a Part of Mirvish's 2014-15 Season!

Torontonians who love musical theatre seem to have something to shout about this morning, as The Toronto Star is reporting the Broadway smash hit musical 'NEWSIES' will grace our stages in 2015 as part of the Mirvish 2014-2015 season. The newspaper states this is as yet unconfirmed by Mirvish Productions or Disney Theatrical, but suggests that Toronto will see 'an exclusive six-week premiere engagement at the Princess of Wales'

Newsies, the hit Tony Award-winning 'critics' pick,' celebrates the release of its first book, Newsies: Stories of the Unlikely Broadway Hit. The book will be sold exclusively for Newsiesticket holders at The Nederlander Theatre, 208 W. 41st Street, NYC and at www.newsiesbroadwaystore.com, beginning November, 4th 2013 until February 4th 2014, when it goes on-sale in retail outlets nationwide. The book retails for $25 and includes photos that have never been seen publicly.

Tim and the Space Cadets to Play The Jewish Museum, 11/17

The kids' indie rock band, Tim and the Space Cadets performs a concert for families at The Jewish Museum on Sunday, November 17 at 2:00pm. Songwriters Tim Kubart and Matt Puckett weave their childhood memories into textured pop tunes, rock songs, and lullabies. In celebration of the exhibition, Art Spiegelman's Co-Mix: A Retrospective, the Space Cadets will perform the chart-topping single 'Superhero' along with other tunes exploring adventure and inspiring the imagination.
