Joanie Leeds and the Nightlights to Perform Family Concert at Jewish Museum, 12/20

Joanie Leeds and The Nightlights will perform a kids' rock concert at The Jewish Museum on Sunday, December 20 at 2pm. The Brooklyn-based kindie rocker Joanie Leeds and her band bring families to their feet with interactive, high energy performances incorporating a unique and playful sound ranging from pop-rock to gospel to country. They will perform hits from her latest releases, Good Egg and Meshugana.

NEWSIES Comes to the Broward Center for the Performing Arts Tonight

The Power of Pictures Family Day Set for Jewish Museum, 11/15

 The Jewish Museum will present The Power of Pictures Family Day, a fun-filled day of activities, on Sunday, November 15 from 12 noon to 4pm.  Children can design vibrant posters at a drop-in art workshop; create a surreal family portrait; rock out in Russian and English with the band Lyagushki; and explore the power of the camera to capture the world around us through gallery tours of the exhibition The Power of Pictures: Early Soviet Photography, Early Soviet Film.

The Providence premiere of Disney's NEWSIES opens tonight, October 20, at 7P at the Providence Performing Arts Center for a limited engagement through Sunday, October 25.

Ralph's World to Perform Family Concert at Jewish Museum, 11/8

Ralph's World will perform a concert for families on Sunday, November 8 at 11:30 am at the Jewish Museum.   Ralph's World is the musical planet where kids rock out to high-energy tunes by Ralph Covert, the Grammy-nominated, Chicago-based indie rocker. Covert and his bandmates Tommy O'Brien, Brian Sheridan, and Bean Weng bring to their kids' concerts the same high-energy and super-melodic sense that he developed for his adult pop-rock band, The Bad Examples.

Disney Theatrical Productions welcomes six new principal cast members to the North American tour of Disney's NEWSIES: Joey Barreiro as 'Jack Kelly,' Morgan Keene as 'Katherine,' Aisha de Haas as 'Medda Larkin,' Stephen Michael Langton as 'Davey' and John Michael Pitera and Ethan Steiner alternating the role of 'Les.' These new cast members, aside from Pitera, will begin performances at The Bushnell Center for the Performing Arts in Hartford tonight, October 13.

Alison Faith Levy to Perform at Jewish Museum, 10/11

The Jewish Museum launches its fall 2015 family concert series with a performance by San Francisco-based kindie rocker Alison Faith Levy on Sunday, October 11 at 11:30am.  Levy - formerly “Sippy Alison” of the beloved kids' psychedelic band The Sippy Cups -  and her Big|Brave Time Tot Rock Band make their New York debut at the Museum, and will perform whimsical '60s-style tunes from her albums, The Start of Things and World of Wonder, in a high energy, interactive show for the entire family.

New Museum Opens Wynne Greenwood's KELLY Exhibit Today

New York, NY...Working across video and performance, Wynne Greenwood explores constructions of the self, tracing how subjectivities are formed in public and private spaces and always in relation to others—be they imagined or real-life personae. Greenwood is widely known for her work as Tracy + the Plastics, in which she plays all three members of an all-girl band. As Tracy + the Plastics, Greenwood performed live as lead singer Tracy, accompanied by videos of herself portraying keyboardist Nikki and drummer Cola, and toured across the country from 1999 until the project's end in 2006.  

Tickets to NEWSIES at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts on Sale 9/25

Disney Theatrical Productions and Broadway Across America announced today that tickets for the highly anticipated Fort Lauderdale engagement of Disney's NEWSIES will go on sale to the public on Friday, September 25 at 10:00am.  The Tony® Award-winning production will begin performances at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts on Tuesday, November 17 for a limited engagement of two weeks through Sunday, November 29.

Tickets On Sale Today for NEWSIES at the Orpheum This Winter

Disney Theatrical Productions and The Orpheum Theatre announced today that tickets for the highly anticipated Memphis engagement of Disney's NEWSIES will go on sale to the public today, September 11 at 10:00 AM.  The Tony Award-winning production will begin performances at the Orpheum Theatre on Tuesday, December 8 for a limited engagement of eight performances through Sunday, December 13.
