Szot Returns to SOUTH PACIFIC, 3/31

Opera baritone Paulo Szot returns to the role of Emile de Becque in Lincoln Center Theater's Tony Award winning production of Rodgers & Hammerstein's SOUTH PACIFIC, at the Vivian Beaumont Theater, this Wednesday (March 31) fresh from his triumphant Metropolitan Opera debut in their new production of Shostakovich's The Nose.

Grammy Award-winner and platinum-selling recording artist Melissa Manchester joined the cast of The Town Hall's Broadway Musicals of 1948 on Monday, March 22. Continuing the 10th Anniversary celebration of The Town Hall's Broadway by the Year ® concert series, Manchester joined the cast of musical theater performers celebrating shows that graced Broadway stages in 1948, including Cole Porter's classic Kiss Me Kate and Frank Loesser's Where's Charley?. The show was hosted, created and written for The Town Hall by Scott Siegel.

Broadway Bass-Baritone David Pittsinger recently talked to the New York Times about his uniquely demanding schedule. Pittsinger is currently performing eight times per week in the Tony Award-winning revivial of South Pacific at the Vivian Beaumont Theater as Emile de Becque as well as portraying the ghost' of Hamelt's father in 'Hamlet' at the Metropolitan Opera.

The 6th Annual Broadway Unplugged Concert at The Town Hall took place on Monday, November 16th. The concert's musical director, for the sixth consecutive year, was Ross Patterson. Taking the helm as director was Scott Coulter.

Full casting has been announced for Lincoln Center's BROADWAY MEETS JAZZ to benefit Chris Henry & Royal Family Productions. The cast will include Becca Ayers, John Cariani, Sheila Carpenter, Danielle Chambers, Wycliffe Gordon, Autumn Hurlbert, William Michals, and Andrew Samonsky. The event will take place at Clark Theatre at Lincoln Center on November 16th at 7:00pm and will be presented as a part of the Under the Starts at Lincoln Center series.

More stars have been added to The Sixth Annual Broadway Unplugged concert at The Town Hall on Monday, November 16th at 8 PM. In addition to the previously announced Marc Kudisch, Emily Skinner, Daniel Reichard, Manu Narayan, Jill Paice, Jeffry Denman, William Michals, Lisa Howard, Bill Daugherty, and Sarah Jane McMahon, the cast of this unique concert that features the entire cast singing without microphones (the way it used to be done on Broadway) now also includes opera star John Easterlin, who won two Grammy Awards this year, as well as Nightlife Award winner David Colbert, and Broadway stars Tony Yazbeck and Janet Metz. The show's producer/writer/host, Scott Siegel has revealed that more star announcements are forthcoming.
