Labyrinth's A FAMILY FOR ALL OCCASIONS Extends Through 5/26

Labyrinth Theater Company, the award-winning, downtown ensemble, announced today its World Premiere production of A Family For All Occasions, written by Bob Glaudini and directed by Philip Seymour Hoffman, will extend performances. Originally scheduled to play its final performance on May 19, A Family For All Occasions will now close on Sunday, May 26th.

BREAKING BAD's Bryan Cranston to Star in A.R.T.'s ALL THE WAY; Full Cast Announced!

The American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) at Harvard University has announced that three-time Emmy Award-winning actor Bryan Cranston will play the lead role of Lyndon Baines Johnson in Robert Schenkkan's new play All The Way opening the A.R.T.'s 2013-14 Season at the Loeb Drama Center. The production, directed by Bill Rauch, will begin performances on September 13, 2013.

Labyrinth Theater Company, the award-winning, downtown ensemble announced today the complete cast and creative team for their World Premiere production of A Family For All Occasions, written by Labyrinth Company Member Bob Glaudini (Jack Goes Boating, A View From 151st Street) and directed by former Labyrinth Co-Artistic Director Philip Seymour Hoffman (Jesus Hopped The A Train, Our Lady of 121st Street).

STIFF, written by Ryan Dowler, opens at Ensemble Studio Theatre as a part of EST/Youngblood's Unfiltered Series tonight, January 9. The show stars OBIE Award-winner, Steven Boyer (HAND TO GOD) and William Jackson Harper (MODERN TERRORISM). The play is directed by OBIE Award-winner and Youngblood Artistic Director, R.J. Tolan.

I daresay that playwright Jon Kern probably found a previously untried twist in the old staple of “meeting cute” in a romantic comedy by having the central couple of his play be a suicide bomber on a mission to sacrifice himself, and take as many lives as possible with him, on the observation deck of the Empire State Building, and a fellow terrorist helping to achieve his goal as revenge against an American drone attack that killed her husband on her wedding day when the celebration was mistaken for a Taliban gathering.

Actor Illness Delays MODERN TERRORISM Opening; Postponed Until 10/18

Second Stage Theatre has canceled five preview performances of Jon Kern's world premiere comedy, Modern Terrorism, Or They Who Want To Kills Us and How We Learn To Love Them, due to actor illness. The canceled previews on Sunday, September 30, Tuesday, October 2, and both previews on Wednesday, October 3 have delayed the opening to Thursday, October 18. The production was originally scheduled to open on Monday, October 15. Ticket holders for all canceled shows are being accommodated on later dates. Previews are scheduled to resume on Thursday, October 4.
