Ensemble Studio Theatre and Youngblood's 'Unfiltered' to Conclude with STIFF, 1/9-11

STIFF, written by Ryan Dowler, opens at Ensemble Studio Theatre as a part of EST/Youngblood's Unfiltered Series on Wednesday, January 9. The show stars OBIE Award-winner, Steven Boyer (HAND TO GOD) and William Jackson Harper (MODERN TERRORISM). The play is directed by OBIE Award-winner and Youngblood Artistic Director, R.J. Tolan.

The show opens on Wednesday, Jan 9 at 7pm and continues Thursday, Jan 10 and Friday, Jan 11 at 7pm.

Terrence is ready to build a new life with his new girlfriend, but his grief-stricken, mortality-obsessed best friend Omar is mourning his dead wife in a unique and disturbing way.

The cast features Steven Boyer, William Jackson Harper, Heather Robb and Teresa Stephenson.

Ryan Dowler's play The Gratifications received a production at Ensemble Studio Theatre in January 2012 as a part of EST/Youngblood's Unfiltered series. His work has been performed at Seattle Repertory Theatre, Hunger Artist's Theater, Hyde Park Theatre, DC Source, Cherry Lane Theater, Main Street Stage and the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. He received an EST/Sloan commission for his short play, Nature and the Animal in 2011. Ryan was named a semi-finalist for the P73 Playwriting Fellowship in 2012. He is a former member of Youngblood.
