This marks the third stop in the series, which launched in New York City this past May with a performance by Glee star Matthew Morrison and continued in Nashville, Tennessee in June with ACM Award-winning sibling trio The Band Perry.

On May 10th, the VH1 Save The Music Foundation will kick off the Songwriters Music Series at the Hard Rock Cafe New York with a short acoustic set by musician and 'Glee' star Matthew Morrison. Following the launch in NYC, the series will travel to Nashville, Tennessee on June 2nd with a performance by the ACM Award-winning sibling trio The Band Perry at the Hard Rock Café's Reverb Room and Los Angeles in September with a soon to be announced artist.

Chicago Opera Theater (COT) presents the final production of their 2010 Spring Festival Season - Jake Heggie's, THREE DECEMBERS on May 8, 12, 14, and 16 at the Harris Theater in Millennium Park. COT will also be presenting a one-night only concert with Frederica von Stade and Jake Heggie on May 10, also at the Harris Theater.
On Monday, May 10, 2010, Chicago Opera Theater (COT) hosted an intimate reception offering people the once in a lifetime opportunity to meet legendary mezzo-soprano Frederica von Stade (aka 'Flicka') and composer Jake Heggie followed COT's An Evening with Frederica von Stade and Jake Heggie, which was Ms. von Stade's final recital in Chicago before retirement. This fundraising event raised over $10,000 in support of the company.
