The 50th Anniversary production of William Gibson's Tony Award(r) winning play THE MIRACLE WORKER is in Vanity Fair and New York Magazine this week, leading up to its first preview on Friday, February 12 at Circle in the Square Theatre (235 West 50 Street).

Tovah Feldshuh Recreates GOLDA'S BALCONY Performance for Bristol Riverside Theatre's Jewish Theatre Festival, 4/25

Bristol Riverside Theatre presents a one-day Jewish Theatre Festival, in partnership with Theatre Ariel on Sunday, April 25. Highlights of the Festival, which will explore the contemporary Jewish experience as seen by Jewish performing artists, will be Tovah Feldshuh recreating her award-winning performance in Golda's Balcony and the only area performance of the Multi-Cultural Theatre of the Galilee performing Sofia's Drawings. In addition to a special performance of The 10 Imaginings of Sarah and Hagar by Theatre Ariel, there will also be an exhibit of the history of Jewish theater as well as smaller, family-oriented programming.

LOOPED Starring Valerie Harper as Tallulah Bankhead Headed to Broadway this Spring

Tony Cacciotti, Chase Mishkin, David Steiner and Leonard Soloway announced today that Valerie Harper will return to Broadway this spring in Matthew Lombardo's new comedy Looped, directed by Rob Ruggiero. It will play the Lyceum Theatre (149 West 45th Street). Previews begin on February 19 and opening night is Sunday March 14.

On Monday, November 23, 2009 The Players Foundation will present a Benefit/Celebration to honor the life's work of Jerry Tallmer, the legendary, prolific NYC theater journalist and critic who was a founder of the Village Voice and creator of the OBIE Awards.
